    I've made it now so in green is what I actually did...

    Bashful, I really understand how you feel. I was very scared too, and no amount of people saying 'you'll be fine!' made any difference. I wish I could say something reassuring. What I'd like to add is that as an anxious person, everything has turned out much better than I thought and I'm consequently very happy. I think it's women who blithely enter in to it all thinking labour will be a doddle and the baby will never cry or wake up in the night who are less well prepared than you are. Well done for thinking it all through!

    Also, gas and air is brilliant! Really took the edge off.... I guzzled 9 canisters! I really rate a TENS machine too. Bought one at 39 weeks cos was worried he'd come before I could hire it, but they're pretty reasonable to hire, and good in the early stages (and throughout) to build up your endorphin response...

    aww thanks Weezl! I have my Tens machine waiting, and am hoping to do with just that and gas and air but I am open minded so will see on the day. Just had MW appointment and I'm being sent back to hospital for 3rd time!!! She is a little concerned that I am so short and small framed, and baby isn't engaged yet and my fiance is a big 6ft lump! She doesn't want me to go overdue incase bubs is huge!!! :eek::eek::eek:
    so am off to hospital on Wednesday to see if they want to induce me if I dont go into labour soon.....good times!!!!! :D
    The way I keep tring to look at it is, millions of women have done it for millions of years, and millions of women have done it more than once so the end result is obviously a million times worth the pain :T:j and if she is a big chunk thats more baby to love :D:j:j:j

    LOL!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I do find it funny the way people's view of what is and isn't 'normal' conversation changes when they are pregnant of have children. One of my friends is due at the beginning of July and was telling us all kinds of fun details whilst we were eating fish and chips last night. This baby had better be cute! :A
    All the best for those of you up the duff, can't say I fancy it any time soon but then I need to find myself a lovely hunky man first, anyone got a spare one lying around?.....
    God is good, all the time

    Oh, honestly, doesn't bother me unless I am eating

    Well, it made me feel quite sick _pale_
    We have discussed perineums, and weeing, pooing when you are giving birth, having to wear pantyliners because your bladder no longer gives you warning

    Maybe, an indication that this should be on a different thread? I came on here to find a recipe :eek:
