Hello Germish and JTB  :T:A,

Great to see you both again!

Germish hope your birthday is lovely, are you doing anything nice?

JTB, re: long labour and lots of flapjack :rotfl::rotfl:well, I figure a first labour can be quite long, and AM as you all know is hard to keep fed, especially when he hasn't slept... And I really don't want him popping out for chips at a crucial moment! He has to be keeper of the hose and top up the hot water in the paddling pool! Also for a homebirth (hopefully if we can manage it), they sometimes send 2-3 midwives (one for me, one for Fergus and a student one to learn!) so I figure there's a few people who may need a boost!

LOL about your car keys! Clever hubby :D

Also, you gotta be nice to the keepers of the gas and air! :o:D

    Love Weezl x

Nice to see you posting Weezl...hope that you are resting as much as possible as you won't get another rest for at least 18 years! Glad that you are so well and so prepared.

Enjoy your baking day to-morrow and ISOM's visit

Weezl... my dh survived first birth by eating the sarnies that the mw's were getting for me!! Could be a while even though head engaged... I remember the 'john wayne' feeling well :rotfl: My two hated baths what ever the temperature was at first... minute clothes started to come off "WAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" But it is a wonderful time and make the most of all the snuggles and smiles as it flies by so quick... my ds1 is 7 in 2 weeks  :rotfl:

In the garden? not much.... broad beans peeping through and leeks under cloches... BUT in the greenhouse... chard overwintered, i have beetroot, spinach, perpetual spinach and leeks in pots... plus have just started off the earliest sowings of broad beans and more leeks AND on the windowsill I have aubergine seedlings peeping through and the earliest tomatoes getting second leaves... I have early spring onions on the window sill too.. otherwise some herb seeds just sown! :D
  • Hi all,
All is well over here, all the shops in town are closing down so it's a bit dull here, on the upside that makes it easier to not spend!
For my b'day I hope someone will do something nice for me.

Mine had the head engaged 2 months before they were due! Mind you with two in there he probably only got stuck and couldn't move, his brother did demand a lot of space!!

ISOM I do wave back when I go to the seashore but it hasnt been often lately with the icy winds coming in with the snow!

Oh and Yategirl is right, they do grow up fast, this year mine will be 15!!!! No idea where those years went!

Awww shaz, I knew your shoulder was poorly, sorry your kidneys are too :(

I suspect that your beautiful raised beds will thrive even after the snow! Is it still a real blanket of white up by you?

Yategirl, you've done well with your indoors stuff! Is your greenhouse big? I'm envious! For my 35th birthday on the 23rd march I've asked acetate monkey to make me one out of our old bay windows!!!! So we shall see what I end up with. ;)I've told him my birthday present can be very late tho, since we probably need to be more ready for our little fergus seedling than for a crop of tomato plants!:D

Insomnia again  so have just switched the slo-cooker on to warm up ready for the first dish of the day I would now say look away vegetarians or anyone a bit squeemish about offal, but I'm not sure who'd still be here!? LOL, so it's going to be braised hearts and kidneys in gravy with onions. (prolly this was good to get started before isom comes, you know what she was like about that piggy head!).

*Calls out* Ceridwen it's all from Waitrose and Organic!!!! Come back, your influence pervades!! (and I think you are diplomatic by-the-way, but an unconventional, free-thinking challenger with integrity will always get a bit misunderstood in this funny ole world methinks! ;) )

Mrs Macawber, if you're around anywhere, please can you come answer the recipe question a few posts back, I'm clueless about your lovely bread!? And how are you m'dear? :D

So I'm just getting my thinking cap on about how to use m'baking day.... so far, *thinks* right while oven is preheating to help the bread rise, slap in a couple of 'midwife pleasers' aka flapjack trays..... then a double batch of bread... then oven off and carry on casseroling on the hob...

    See you's all later!

    Love and hugs,

    Weezl x

PS it's actually looking like the waitrose shop was a massive bargain! Will get my head round the figures and tell you more. Can you wait til Fergus is 5 and my maths brain returns?! ;)

......slight change of plan. The offal was not fully defrosted, so now the slo-cooker contains 2 ham hocks and some fresh sprouts! Don't worry ISOM, It'll be nearly ready by the time you get here!

Looking up some flapjack recipes now....

Oh! the birds are awake now and singing :) they are optimistic with their dawn chorus!

    Hiya Weezl

The Bermuda Triangle for "posts" still happening - typed out one back to you and my computer went all very odd and I lost it.

Well - shucks - our Weezl :kisses3: - I do LOOK conventional - will that do?
Errr....I was thinking "our Weezl is up with the birds again"..

Think that Fergus must have as active a brain as his parents. Thinks....wonder what sort of person we are all waiting to meet here....hmmmm...

I have a feeling he'll be just as much a person in his own right and we'll hear as much of his doings as we do from Aril about the "small person" she is mother to over on my Simplifying Life thread:D
  • oo me goodness...another early start our weezl! Just popping in to say that I'm going to have quick shower, load car and then go to sains and take tiles back and will then be with you 10ish...toast in sains with cappuchino appeals!! see you in a bit...offal...yeugh! be fair now I did transport pig head, touch it, photograph is and make tea when you almost passed out..:) ...!!! It was the brains that were a step too far for me...yak!!

ah the greenhouse.. is wonderful! :D it was "freecycled" to me via a friend who moved into her new house and didn't want the greenhouse - yay for me!!! :j however...... it was too big for my tiny garden so fil and dh did a bit of altering and made it a tad smaller!! it is approx 5ft sq now so just big enough for me to stand in the middle but absolutely perfect and I wouldn't be without it!!

Good luck with getting one made and keep an eye on freecycle for any extras you need!

Shaz - hope you are ok???
