  • Yes, I am sat with my mug of tea and two rock buns that I baked the other day. Not very nutritious but very delicious!! I will go and grab some cereal in a minute.

I like the name Fergus, but then I like unusual names!

Awww what a sweet gesture - the smoked salmon for breakfast, that is really a lovely treat for Valentines day. Hope you both enjoy it, it will never be the same when Fergus arrives!

Thank you for your good wishes hon, they are much appreciated.

LOL, yes I'm trying to appreciate all the things that won't be happening for a while, like going to the loo on my own, having space to mooch on here.... Pin-droppingly silent house....:D

Actually no - it's a recipe I first used about 20 years ago from Margerite Patton and adapted it to suit my tastebuds. I would post it if you put me in the right direction as they are scrumptious!

Goodness - just had to pop in here to say that I have known quite a few people called Fergus and have never thought of it as an odd name. I'm quite shocked!! No-one was ever teased about it that I know of  .Don't let anyone put you off!

    'Morning all :hello:

Well...our Weezl I'm wondering whether you could possibly get any less sleep than you're having right now once Fergus arrives....in fact when Fergus does arrive I think you might actually be getting more than you do now.....as with him not being "in situ" so to say then others can take over "night-time duties" sometimes - hiya Acetate Monkey:D and sounds like our ISOM is gasping to "have a turn" there too....whats that phrase about "a friend in need is a friend indeed"? I'd say "never turn down a good offer". Think time and the chance to sleep could rate as the best presents anyone can give you for a while now...

Had a very nasty exp when younger when mice ran over my face in an old house in Ireland....was literally scared stiff!
How are people doing on the gb front? We've also been lacking in recipes of late - money saving diva can you post your rock cake recipe? Our weezl's tummy is very full of fergus and is up to the little and often stage of food...rock cakes would be just about right me thinks and I could make some for us to share!! Going to have a nice quiet day at home tom and a bit of baking wouldnt go amis!

Oh well - ISOM - guess its down to two choices re that mouse - either a mouse-friendly mousetrap (yep - I believe there really is such a thing) or see which one of your cats fancies catching its own snack....
