Hi ISOM
I'm keeping on trucking....and keeping on trucking......ad infinitum. 'Tis next winter (after I come off my fixed price deal) where I'm planning on cutting back noticeably heating-wise if things havent improved by then so to say. I'm getting in training at the moment - cutting back a bit.
Working my way into growing food - still finding out whats what and getting what I need. Got me a 2nd blog on this now:
http://mygardeningnotes.blogspot.com/
where I'm noting down all useful/interesting/encouraging stuff as I come across it.
Are you all fully healthy again after that Op. of yours?0 -
Thanks for that lightisfading - duly copied down. Reckon I could use a bit of Marmite instead of veggie worcester sauce - as I always have that in (remnants of 1960s style vegetarian cooking - with its 3 basic flavourings: Marmite, curry powder and tomato puree!).
ahh the worcester isn't vital anyway - we just chuck in whatever comes to handOH has a bit of a 'Bloody Mary' obsession so we allllways have veggie worcester sauce lol.

They will just be used for bolognaise or stew. Thanks x x x

Hi Bashful
Well - I do. I chop them up and saute very slightly (till just soft) in oil or butter and then put them in containers in the freezer.
Well - seems to work for me and be suitable for the sort of purpose you mention.0 -
oooh thanks so much ceridwen...will be wasting no more mushrooms :-)

I spotted today in "the Works" bookshop that they were selling 3 packets of veg SEEDS! for £1. Doesn;t really help me as I have no garden due to having an apartment in the city BUT I thought it might help one or two of you guys
