A special hello to shaz and ceridwen!
Hello ISOM.....yep...I'm still lurking hereabouts. Sent you and our Weezl e-cards for Christmas...then had nasty thought they might have got lost in the spam filter....well...hoping they got through okay.
My love to our Weeze. Cant be long now till Fergus is with us? When is he due again?
EDIT; Note to ISOM - there's someone on the Boards right now badly needing some prayers - so you might like to send a few in his direction. Its a guy called Broken-Hearted over on the Moneysaving In Marriages, Relationships and Families Board - his wife left him unexpectedly on Christmas Eve and the poor guy is in pieces. I think this situation is solvable with care and prayer.0 -
*** waves to all ***
I hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Mine was quiet yesterday (just me, the boys and a few pressies, but we're off to see DD and my GDs today (just as soon as I've wrapped their presents)
However, 23rd & 24th were a little more hectic. Another MSE member works at a sheltered accomodation complex about 10-11 miles from me, and had a party with her "oldies" on 23rd (lunch time), and two more parties on 24th (lumch and evening) -- so I offered to go and help out.
Had an absolute ball at them, which I think was mainly 'cos it was a totally new environment without lots of people who didn't know quite what to say to me. They'd clearly (from comments made late on 23rd) been told about my home situation, but didn't make a big thing of it -- and I was made to feel so welcome by the residents that it was a very enjoyable time.
My DD and GDs came with me to the second lunch one, and my GDs helped pass around chocolates and presents, and sang carols with everyone (including the first verse of Away In A Manger on their own). The residents really seemed to enjoy having them there, especially as they (and I) had dressed up -- they were Santa's Fairies courtesy of the Woolies Sale (and I was Mother Christmas). My GDs seemed to really enjoy themselves, and have asked when they can go again......
I've been invited back for New Years Eve, but am unfortunately baby sitting (already promised, and DD has planned her night out with friends). So I've been invited to the next party (sounds like they never stop!) on 3rd Jan. The next one suitable for my GDs will probably be at Easter, but -- as DD and GDs are away the Good Friday week -- it depends when it is as to whether or not they can come with me.Cheryl0 -
aww thats great cw...nothing like a bit of giving to make you realise how blessed you are and how wonderful it is to share at Christmas, even though its been a rough few months.
Thanks for the heads up C - I'll go and have a look for him and will of course request assistance from the one who can...Did get the ecard but just have been so manc didnt get time to do a reply one so apologies. Hope you had a good day?
Am sure the Weezles will be along soon but know they ars STILL decoarting (AM was at it yesterday..tut tut!) and preparing for Fergus's appearance and not enough energy hours in the day. Mrs Weezl is looking gorgeous with bump and Fergus kicks his whereablouts on a regular basis - not long to go now as think he is due in March sometime! Very exciting!!
Am off to the godchildren today so lots of lovely hugs comng my way! Hope you all have a nice day with not to many downers and are abe to find use for turkey! Thankfully we had beef!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Hi all. Just wanted to pop in and say I hope you all had a great xmas's, and I wish you all the very best for 2009, especially Weezl, AM and Fergus. Love to you all. You have all been such inspirations. I really hope this thread has a sequal as have baby due in May and got engaged last week so am now saving for a wedding too :-) I'll need lots of advise so if there is some sort of sequal please shout it from the rooftops for all to see!!!!! And Cheryl....you are such an inspiration to me, I would never be able to cope with such heartache the way you have, and the way you can still go out of your way to do good for others is absolutely amazing. I think you are wonderful and I wish you all the very very best for 2009. (bashful realises she is sounding creepy and sneaks back out!!!) x x x x

afternoon all...just popping in. Know what you mean about missing out weezl and her inner geek but also think that babies do have a tendency to suck you dry of all energy so suspect it will be a while before weezl gets here geek back! Hope you are all ok and not too pooped after Christmas...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0
