  • I agree with everyone, this board has been such an inspiration and help, I really hope it continues or there's a similar thread that starts where this ends......don't know where I'd be now without it

    Best wishes to all...

  • hello lovely frugal people. Havent been around as manic woth work and Christmas! Will see the weezles tomorrow but have already fessed that my mr t christmas shop was £186.90 which was a breathtaking total - even with a couple of pressies taken into account. Evem worse was the fact that mr t wine boxes are pathetic and 1 bottle smashed as I was unloading...luckily a cheapie bottle but traumatic none the less. Pleased its not just me who wants to carry on the chatting and swapping ideas - a definate slimming one needed for me in jan as am squeezing into my weeble clothes as it is! Will catch up soon with people but meanwhile hugs ...try and keep your head in the madness and remember that almost any job would be better than shop assistants right now! Went to town to get labels today and really felt sorry for them...people gone dolally!.

  • Evening all...well I can confirm the weezles/acetate money's/fergusses are alive and kicking - or rather decorating!! Our fergie will arrive to a house of lovliness! Hope you are all ok in the run up to Christmas...bashful the answer ismolasses is treacle effecively and its usually where the golden syrup is - in a red tin if that helps. Re brown sugar the darker the color the stronger the flavor...dark brown sugar molassessy while light brown has less flavor - hard to explain but tbh its much of a muchness! I often use what I have in! Hope that helps? Hugs all...will be a frogal jan for me. Just realised how much interest I'm paying on one of my cc's!

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
