    Morning all

First week of our 2 weeks off work today. We're away for a week from Friday. We're going to Menorca, Sunnyday where you going? Up bright and early (although I can't lie any anyway). Boiler man coming today to start replacing our central heating boiler. Off to Mr T soon, Usually have it delivered but hubby can stay behind to receive the boiler man and I will go and get a few bits and bobs to keep us going to the end of the week. Ironing today and then will make some hobnobs, half in tin and half in freezer. I might get some cooking chocolate while I am out to put on top. Bought some ginger last week so will put that in this time for a change.

Glad wedding went well Charlies Mum and that you both found your missing items. Looking forward to seeing pics.

    Have a good day all

A third day running it isn't raining - it's making me very nervous - there'll be a hosepipe ban next!

Work today - not too busy but interesting by the look of my diary.

After that I need to go shopping and I have some applles to stew and freeze.

10 days to go (not that I'm counting still!!!)

Hope everyone is well and happy - hugs to those who aren't, have a good week.

R.MAC my SIL reckoned that sleeplessness when you're pregnant is to prepare you for what's coming. Hope you get some sleep soon, have you tried putting a pillow under your bump to support it when you're lying on your side?

R.MAC - Don't know if it'll work for you, but I used to fnd a pillow under my bump and one in between my knees used to help.

I forgot to post (((HUGS)) for all those who need/want them in my first post so (((HUGS))) x

    Morning all,

Looks like its going to be another nice day here, I have got dd's bedding to wash, and if it is nice I will do a load of towels.

DD is off to school and OH to work, so I have a nice day to myself, dd is making lemon curd tarts today in food tech, which will be nice for after tea.

Can't remember who posted the recipe but we are having summer in winter chicken for tea, with cous cous, it looks lovely so thank you.

Mean marie, thanks for the tip re the rhubarb, I diddn't know that you could freeze it withour stewing, will save me time, thanks

And I can't remember who said about trying the pork chops in the sc, but as long as you crisp them up in the oven after they are delish.

Need to hoover today, clean the bathroon and kitchen, start my blackberry jam off and do an online shop.

R mac hope you got some more sleep xx

Jet, hope your girls feel better xx

  • Good Morning All

Charlies-mum - look forward to the wedding pictures.

Yes it spider time of year - the worst thing for me, I have got a little braver but not much. We have those plug in things and do seem to get less spiders but still have a few.

Another nice day weather wise is on the cards so will be putting washing out again today. Other than that I am going to try and get loads done in the office including eoyear so it can go to the accoutants this week. Will have to be strict with myself.

Had a good low spending weekend and really enjoyed it - hopefully will have a few up to Christmas though DS birthday is in a couple of weeks.

Have had a couple more Xmas pressies delivered - plan to do as much online this year as I can though Quidco.

Making HM steak and ale pie for dinner though have to admit its bought pasty.

Still doing well on the bread front, tried a new recipe which is perfect much less sweet.

Anyway am waffling - off to finish my tea. Have a great day.

    morning :)

Yesterday got lots of washing done. had to rescue it from a nasty shower and finish it off in the drier, but it didn't take long to do. Now I have an ironing pile the size of mount everest.
Today will have to do some food shopping and have a wander round the car showrooms. My car is playing up again, and as the last bill was over £400 and it needs 4 new tyres, its getting to the point it's not making sense to pour more money in to it. Had it for a while now..so time for change.

hugs to all who need one.

    Morning Everyone
Back from sunny Lincoln. Had a really good weekend, weather was brilliant after a very wet Friday as we arrived, and glad we decided to go, see our friends and have a break, will be back to it with a vengance today. Me errand running, while DH does some of the jobs in the bedroom. Must get the rest of the paperwork/scanning finished and start packing for Spain as only 8 days left and another weekend out next weekend:eek: :j

DS came up home to go to the St Leger with his friends, bring his(well ours really) car up for servicing with his cousin, and one of the brakes had worn down and scored the disc, couldn't get spares on Saturday so he had had to go back on the train, and come back one night in the week to collect it. £40 return for the train :EEK!: and then the fuel to collect it again, and the repairs, well he is learning the price of car ownership! Looks like Dear Great Neice will be treat again and knowing our dear nephew will take virtualy nothing for labour. Dear Neice-in-law is expecing again, so will get the needles going there too.

Enough waffle, don't expect me back today, and if I am send me off to get going.

Hester - hope you have left OH a big list of chores. Is he any good at peeling apples yet?

Congratulations to anyone celebrating, glad the weather was nice for the wedding Charlies_Mum

((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))))) all round, please help yourself.

    Take care - DG

p.s. Anyone know why we are getting the red cross smilies? and is there a fix? it seems to be the standard ones.
