HowGreatThouArt wrote: »Hi! 1st post. wondering if you OSers could help. I am a traditional housewife, and making a wonderful safe and comforting home for my family is really important to me. The thing that I have a problem with is structuring my day in order that all jobs get done. Does anybody have a plan to make things go smoothly?
In the 1930s or 1950s did a housewife learn a particular set routine from her mother??? I love learrning about the past and wondered if anybody had any wisdom to share, i.e. do i do my baking in the morning? or is it better to do the washing them? etc.
sorry if this sounds a bit rambling, but i am in my mid 20s and I grew up in care so i have had no useful skills passed down to me!
please help
You are SO in the right place!!! :rotfl: :T I've got to quickly catch up on the thread but will come back to you if someone else hasn't already! Welcome aboard!!MMSSB Club Founder Member

HowGreatThouArt Go to the first page of this thread. You'll see how we do what we do. Pigpen our illustrious leader posts a new list every day. We can opt to follow this, and/or add to it, or make our own lists. That way, we're not running ourselves ragged trying to do everything all at once.
I know that I feel so much happier now I'm on top of my home. If I let it slide because there's something more exciting going on, it doesn't matter, because it'll all come round again next week. :T
Good luck with it all.MMSSB Club Founder Member
