  • toots best wishes that it all goes well and you don't get too bored. I have a friend who has IV antibodies one day every 4 weeks, and she remains the most positive person i know. Enjoy your books and knitting - you could always meal plan too ;) and we'll all be thinking of you.

lil-me sorry to hear you are so busy at the minute.

denise NZ have a beautiful day

I've just had a HC - i managed to get a load of ironing done, hung up the load of clothes washed earlier, and sorted the boys out clothes for the weekend visit to the ILs house. Just need to do mine and DH's stuff tomorrow, and also pop to my mum's shop to buy a few bits like baby wipes, and drop off my sister's birthday card and a calculator and some stationary i had found out for her for college.

Where do the evenings go? Managed to get both boys in bed for 7:45, which was round about the time DH got in, and then we had a bit of a joint effort at dinner, more DH than me though, and it is now bedtime almost. No wonder i am shattered. It is never ending - must be so much easier to be a spinster. :rotfl: I spend so much time trailing round after the boys and DH picking stuff up and moving things back where they should be. Did i mention i found the brush for the dustpan and brush when i cleaned under the settee, and it had only been missing several weeks.

I suppose i would get more done if i didn't pop in here, but i would then not do anything much that i wanted to do, and life needs some fun doesn't it.

Well, going to read some more while DH washes up, but then head to bed.

    Night girls x
  • Toots - Hugs and love to you and look forward to seeing you back soon, Ditto what Valli said,we'll missu.gif x x x

Speaking of Valli, loved the piccy and so glad your water is hot again for you

Hugs to Pigpen and everyone else feeling rough at the moment - I hate having a cold coz there's no control - sneezing and runny noses just happen when you least expect or want them to... Bless you all!

Spendless & Kaat Lady - I know how you both feel, we have moved 7 times since 2002 - I have been living in boxes and undecorated houses for ages and was pulling my hair out!
We have lived in the house we are currently in for just over 2 years and I really haven't wanted to get attached as we want to exchange to another town, but got fed up with the disgusting colours that were here so we have now repainted and decorated everywhere (have just finished our room) and have had no carpet on the stairs/landing or in the bedrooms for most of that time (mainly because the puppy we got soon after moving in decided he liked the stair carpet better than the food I left out for him  - now he just eats the walls! ), but I can honestly say that, although I don't do everything on Pigpens lists, having them has eventually got me into a sort of routine and I am finally on top of stuff - not by much, it is a very fragile tidyness that can turn at a moments notice (usually caused by DS & hubby!), so stick with it, it is all good! (sorry about the rambling...:o )

Polka - !!!'on, hurry up with that washing up - we're all dying to know what the latest news is!

Ooooh, DeniseNZ - I've booked my flight - oh no - it was with XL.......

(EDIT: Oooh sorry polka, didn't mean to swear at you - they bleeped out come on, only I hadn't said it quite like that!:o )

No bolding now coz Im in a hurry to give Toots her fix:)

Kaz thanks, I didn’t know that. I’d heard of night terrors but didn’t really get the difference. So how do we deal with it?

SS I emailed her with DF’s decision that no, it was not as simple as to stop in at post office. She responded saying “he is more than welcome to put it through the mail slot. It will fit with ease, she just tried it with a pair of mens trousers” but he is please not to ring the doorbell as she doesn’t want her child to be upset. I responded as follows:
“Okay, you know what. Now you are just trying to do things as conveniently for you as possible and the fact that you don't actually want to talk to either of us is beginning to show. I'm tired of all the back and forth here. You asked me to do you a favour, and then you got on your high horse when it wasn’t to your exact ideas. I've not yet mended it because frankly I figured it wouldn't be good enough.
So you can come and fetch it any afternoon, I promise, I won't even open the door for you-I'll toss it out the window at you.
There's no reason I should go out of my way to accommodate you- it's the only reason you want anyone in your life and I'm not it anymore.”
I’ve not had any response yet. I’m sorry-I know it maybe wasn’t necessary but I really have had enough and know she’s done the same to other people.

Pigpen Without so much as asking? And what you said about it getting easier to do each week…Ive only been on here a few and I can easily pick the whole place up in a few hours now…granted Im walking around with a damp rag most of the time and following advice to never walk about empty handed. But even DF is starting to say he feels like he just wants to sleep when he gets in. He says he knows I’ve done all the big stuff and it feels like a home now, rather than just a storage facility.
And it’s largely because of your lists-if he sees a missed spot he jokes he’s going to tell pigpen.
So thank you for keeping the lists going….oh yes, and please leave the mog alone. It’s only ickle.

Zed don’t let those drawers sit on your list as long as I did. When I finally got on it today, it was quicker than two ticks.

Valli What kept me so long is you lot doing what we Saffers call the “warawara”...suddenly there were just tons of thanks to click

Frod and Sexymouse Im a july baby which makes me a winter baby

    Oh no, quick...Tooti .I wasn’t thinking.

Oh my... Toots wait for it...I just got this:

I told you we wouldn't be home for in the evenings for the rest of the week. If we are home, it'll be past (DD's) bedtime. Saying (DF) should stick it through the slot had nothing to do with seeing either of you. It was simply the most convenient thing to do, since posting it seemed to be such a problem.

I honestly don't care one way or another whether I see either of you. I'd have been civil had you brought your son to (DD's) party. I'll be perfectly content if I don't see you again. Makes no difference either way. I say that with no rancor -- I wouldn't run from you, but neither will I seek you out.

I realize that your feelings have been hurt, by precisely this indifference. I am sorry that I've hurt you, but I cannot help that our friendship is over and I cannot change the fact that I prefer it that way. In any case, hurt feelings do not give you the right to effectually steal my property. Nor do they give you the right to try and manipulate me into traveling to your house. I have my child with me every afternoon, as you well know. Why would you want to expose either of our children to a scene like the one you propose? Or, more to the point, why would you think I'd expose my child to it? (DS) may not know what you are doing, but mine would most certainly know we were standing outside of your house while you threw things at me out of a window. Fine that you want to try and hurt me, but why (DD)? I will not come to your house under any circumstances.

If and when you have come to your senses, do send your address along so that I can send that pre-stamped envelope. I'll bet one of you can manage to stick it in a post box without much effort, and my daughter has a thank you card to send to your son. If, however, it satisfies something in you to keep my bag, then keep it. I hope it makes you feel better.

The thank you card is most likely for the little kids magazine subscription I bought her for her birthday.

ahead of you there Michelle I have it on the list!!!!! thought I might get some ideas off the menus - not maybe that great but more inspiration for me!!! Not going to be wasting my time!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
