    Hello all

Im back. Armed with....3 bottles of Stardrops:j , a bottle of sherry (will someone tell me when I may open it please?),and a tin of roses. Also, I bought WHOLE MILK:j I haven't had english whole milk, DF only drinks semi so it's all thats been bought since I got here. Also I got a bag of soda crystals (I plan to do a load of washing with that and vinegar and see if DF notices when he gets back;) And I got my spa bath treats too (hope they work).
Something I did notice though is there are no big quantities of bicarb:confused: 200g cost 52p. Is there nowhere that larger amounts can be found? I also got my first ever MrT Mag, so I'm going to page through that whilst I soak my feet.

Having said all that...depends on DS willing. He woke up from his nap screaming but seems to be in a better mood now. Normally with DF here he only goes down at about 21H00-21H30:eek: and I don't think he understands that daddy's not coming home tonight, so I hope when it all comes down to...he co operates. Still, if it all goes relatively easily, I'm looking forward to spending my first night in...with you lot (I'll forgive pigpen and triker... as long as youn have a drink with me in your thoughts).

Nicky So glad you got it done
ZedThat is a lovely idea...I take photo's of all DS crafts (did I tell you about the teapot?) so if you don't mind I think I'll "coin your phrase" instead of leaving it all hidden on the lappy?
Valli and Dusty I wouldn't have thought of it if not for all of you:T
I'm going to do his part of the room tomorrow-lots was done yesterday as he is in our room. Going to find stuff out here to do tonight.

Oh and I bought the hot chocolate for the christmas mugs (25p for two sachets)...still haven't found my christmas cards:(

Ooh I did a terribly housewifey thing yesterday... I found some tomatoes in the fridge which were past their best.. washed them, dried them.. and chcked them in the freezer.. next time I do a blow-your-nose I'll smasht eh frozen things with a rolling pin and hoik them in .. saves defrosting and chopping nicely.. THEN.. I washed out the fridge.. it was smelly.. no idea WHAT was smelly but it was and now it isn't!

    A what?????

Sounds like a hellish trip.... I'm glad you had a big complain tho, I'd've too!!!!

Are they with the Christmas decorations? Deep in the cupboard under the stairs? In a 'storage' drawer? In a bag of sensible things stowed away for Christmas, stashed under the bed? ;) Those are the three places I'd look!! :D

:rotfl: I cleared a shelf in the bedroom for all the christmas stuff. I have created a tradition apparently as all who got one last year expect one this year. I bought everyone plain old mugs and filled each one with:
    • A hot chocolate sachet
    • A handful of mini marshmallows
    • Two sugarcubes
    • One sainsbury's candy cane (for stirring obviously)
Wrapped them in cellophane with a ribbon with this note attached:
Was told you've been real good this year
    Always glad to hear it
    With freezing weather drawing near
You'll need to warm the spirit
So here's a little Snowman Soup
    Complete with stirring stick
Add hot water, sip it slow
It's sure to do the trick!

I got it off of bigoven.

dusty - i'm sure its the same thing, think just a viral thing. I've had an iffy tummy on and off for a while too (more so than usual). Just a bit run down i think. I've got 10 days holiday left so I might look into taking a few days soon just to chill at home. Got a few busy weeks coming up with trips all over the place!

    WM
    meal plan 2 weeks
online shop (aiming to keep it under £70 but could be tough food's so expensive now!)
£200 to friend for use of holiday cottage
transfer expenses reimbursement into my account

    clean bathroom
    wash up

been to boots and sainsburys for a couple of bits (just a beer or 2 for DH for tonight). Off to wash up now.

Evening everyone. Hollyh well done. Rach hope you feel better soon. Serena thanks, I usually use similar phrases but one of those things that when it happens to you it's hard to see the light. Pigpen, I wonder if your local PALS would be able to help I know someone who used them recently when she wanted something doing about a similar issue http://www.pals.nhs.uk/cmsContentView.aspx?ItemID=932 another option of course to make sure the 'we didn't get a letter' excuse doesn't work is do as I do, anything I receive that is important I copy and take to the GP surgery myself to make sure they have it as they admitted sometimes it can take months before it's in the file.

Just finished eating dinner, going to jump in the shower while I wait for washer/dishwasher to finish, I best tidy bathroom/landing while I am up there and get toiletries and towels out ready for my Mam tomorrow. I must remember to drop the key off at her work for her too. Then off up to the caravan until Sunday. I have to drop DS2 off on Sunday morning with his Dad to go out on the quad bikes but then will take DS1 back up. Must remember my books and laptop.

((hugs all round)) will hopefully pop in over the weekend as long as the mobile broadbandy thing isn't playing up this weekend
One day I might be more organised...........

Please can I have a RIGHT BIG MOAN...

I am going out tonight. First time for weeks and weeks. I have arranged for DD to go to grans to sleep so I can leave DS here on his own (15 next week - perfectly old enough). Left DS on PC while I was ironing, making rhubarb crumble for tea then mowing the lawn - very noisy job. Came in told DD tea (pasta etc) would be ready in 10 mins - asks where DS is - no reply (snafu) but PC on. Wander upstairs looking for DS - no sign? Do whatever I was doing, come downstairs and spot front doorkeys on mat. This means he has let himself out of front door posted keys through letter box and gone out. Phone him - turns out he has been COLLECTED by GFs mum (again) and gone there - without his keys...GRRR because I now have to traipse over there to pick him up and bring him home. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he didn't use the back door because my dad is doing some DIY and has had ladders over the door. Apparently he told me he was going but I was using my very noisy mower.... Why did he not take his keys? I told him I would be out. I go out once in a blue moon...
AARRGHHH and having mowed the lawn (chose to do this as I know I am having a bath before going out) I am right mucky. And I don't really want to bath then go for him - oh and I have to go over the A61 by pass and apparently it's busy because of the M1.
***wanders off to get the homemade Rhubarb crumble which nobody has eaten muttering 'why do I bother?'*** and they're not at their dad's this weekend cos he's off on another jolly even though he only sees 'em once a week from 11.30am until 7 pm on saturdays...
