I'm 30 years old. Whenever I take my mum to a supermarket I park in the parent and child spaces:rotfl:

I feel sorry for the people that just take ages shopping. Some of us like to read the back of cans - and therefore go over the 2 hour (ish) limit!

The conduct of these private parking companies is so underhand and loathsome that they I feel no moral obligation to them or the companies that employ them.

The moral obligation to not use these spaces if you're able-bodied, is not to the company, but to the disabled person who cannot use the space as it was intended.

Uktim, the same applies to you - at 30 years of age and, presumably fit and well, you ought to be ashamed to take the space needed by someone who may be struggling with a baby, pushchair, shopping etc.

Able-bodied people who use spaces designated for invalids or Mum and Baby are obviously just bone idle - get some exercise, it's good for you!!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

That was suppose to be a joke!

Actually I do often use those spaces as I tend to shop at 04:00 AM. I'm usually about one of three cars in the car park when it isn't really an issue.

You should be ashamed of making the assumption that I shop when the car park is full and then actually denying someone the space who needs it!

It does say on the badge (or in the paperwork that comes with it - I forget which) that misuse is a criminal offence so anyone who buys one at a car boot sale in order to use it fraudulently is also committing a criminal offence.
Yes I think that was the point he was getting at, but still wether criminal or not, it doesnt stop it going on.

Someone heavily pregnant parked in a parent and child bay at a local tesco. She got a ticket. She complained. Technically she has not had the child yet.
But surely she is still classed as being with a child, technically speaking, she may not have had the child, but she still has it. Thats one worth fighting over in a court.

Why are people so lazy? Get off ya !!!.

  • Anybody complaining about being fined for parking in a disabled bay when they shouldn't have should think themselves lucky I'm not running the carpark, cause I'd have your car towed & crushed & then charge you the fee for crushing it.

So how long were you allowed to park, and how long did you actually park?
My local ASDA allows 3 Hours, who on earth would need longer. You broke the Rule FULL STOP Pa:oy up and stop whinging
I know when I go shopping with my OH, she can take it beyond 3 hours sometimes, this is before considering wether its a weekly shop, or monthly or even christmas shopping and thats well before the time of the length of que at the checkout.

How long a person takes to do their shopping in Asda is entirely upto them, thankfully I have never been issued with a parking ticket whilst shopping there, but I certainly wont allow someone to dictate how long im allowed to shop in Asda. At least up until I can dictate how long they are allowed to keep me in a que at the checkout, no matter how long or short a time that may be.
