Why does everyone assume that just because one chooses not to have children that one's life will somehow be incomplete. I have fought this prejudice all my life.

I don't have children and there isn't a day I don't thank God for that fact!

....especially as I gaze out at my 2 sport coupes on the drive. :rotfl:

Well I have two kids and I hate parking in the smaller bays because it is a lot harder to get the kids in and out but hey, people who take up the parent/child bays can carry on, I'll be parked next to you one day ;) (only joking, I taught the kids to be careful)

Oh and I'll see you two sport coupes and raise you 1 sport estate, enjoy :rotfl:

    Tell you what.

First one to swap with my husband's disabled hands and legs..
I will give them the disabled badge in return for their working body.

You can have our car too.

My husband, kids and myself will walk...

Some people want to get a life, do you honestly think that being fully disabled is worth the 'Perk' of parking near a supermarket door in return for 24 hour disability.....??

getting back to the matter of will it be taken to court?

I Imagine they wont bother - why??

well £40 means it will cost them £90+ in charges for the court
& they have to have it in the local court to the defendant & they will need a solicitor too

so they have to gamble a few hundred pounds in costs for £40
even if they win there is no gaurantee the defendant wil pay.

as a way out you could offer to pay £2 per month - claiming you cant afford any more - this then gives them the message you are skint and they probably wont persue it

shame on you for using a disabled bay
but car park firms that do this are just as bad - taking advantage of ppl

How are they taking advantage?? I say good on them, maybe they will teach people to not park there when they shouldn't.

We got a ticket while parked in a disabled bay at Asda and it wasn't a 'private' (pirate) company. It was given by an official Council Parking Attendant. I was a bit peeved at that, I felt they should have at least had signs informing that it was council controlled with all the court/bailiff hassle rather than a private company that you can tell to sod off.
