    Interesting theory coming up.

I suspect however, the spaces would still be parked in by people who don't want car dents or anyone parking near their precious car. Poor excuse really though that one. .

Yes I would still park in these spaces if these were wider, it's not about the distance to the shops is about protecting my property.

QUOTE=JasonLVC]What's the point of buying a car that you're scared to drive it and park it somehwere. If that's the case best not drive the car at all - stone chips, rain, wear and tear on the tyres and brakes, youths steeling your VW badge, keying the side of your car, etc. All of these things can happen in a carpark, road side or even on your own driveway.[/QUOTE]

The point is looking after something that I've paid hard earned money for. Stone chips, wear and tear etc. are unavoidable, door dings are entirley avoidable are are nothing short of vandalism caused by mindless morons who simply have no respect for other's property. Parking in P&C spaces is the only option available to me to protect my property. I NEVER park in disabled spaces and detest those that do. parking at the empty end of teh car park away from all other cars isn't an option either.......all that does is advertise "stealable" vehicles to potential thiefs.

anyway back to the matter in question i think that as well as a fine if they are caught doing it three or more times they should get points on there licience they give them out for driving two miles an hour over the speed limit so why not for that ?????

This is not an aggressive question (you know what forums are like, text can be mis-read) - just a follow on from your earlier post.

Why do you never park in disabled bays?. Is it because you have determined that this is morally wrong but parking in other spaces, is not?. What other boundaries are you prepared to break (speeding, hit & run, drink driving?). One can either be morally right or morally wrong. You state mindless morons who have no respect for property and yet it appears you have no respect for other people or their property. If I park in a small bay it is highly likely I will have to rest my car door on the next vehicle to get my children out which may or may not lead to both vehicles being damaged - by accident as kids tend not to be to subtle when opening doors or getting in/out of cars.

I've been door chinked too in the past and it is THE MOST ANNOYING, especially, like you, when you have a fairly decent car - but one wrong doesn't mean that all bets are off and it's a free-for all.

On a serious note, have a good easter break all on the forums - but I think I'll stay clear of carparks this weekend ! ;)
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.
