I believe everest home edition is pretty good for displaying current system specs and config / running speeds
can get it from major geeksDon't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
Right need to be more specific then.
The internet takes a long time to connect, sometimes it can be up to four minutes. Pages take a long time to come up and also I get freeze from time to time.
Any advice please be gentle, not good with the terminology!
Oh and am running norton antivirus as well as spybot.

We have a wireless router which it is connected through.
Windows xp home edition service pack 2.
Iqon technologies
AMD sempron processor
3000+
1.80Ghz 192mb of ram
Physical address extension
Is this the sort of information you mean?0 -
Ok I simply going to tell you that 192mb of ram is not enough even for the type of simple computing that you are doing.
The system is old so I suggest thinking about upgrading!
Simply put the speed of the processor and the amount of ram would not run windows 98 at high speed, so there is little chance of being able to manage the current resources to speed your system up.
Hope that helps.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Its not THAT bad a computer. But you REALLY need more ram. Just get 1 gig of ram installed and your computer will be transformed:idea:0

Are you sure that its only 168mb of ram? It just seems awfully low to me.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
