I have sent 2 questions to this buyer about the prams with no reply. I have also contacted the 4 buyers from an auction that has ended alerting them to this thread and not one has replied to me. Are they false buyers that the seller knows to encourage other innocent gullable buyers into parting with their hard earned. Too many things not ringing true on this one.

i too sent them a message that i posted my question and there answer
like i said before id hate to be accusing them of being scammers if they are guenuinely starting out as new sellers but its funny that they have picked the top pushchairs & prams and are selling them at ridiculously cheap prices and some of them are this years model/colours
  • I would say the 28 days delivery bit is the give away, they can get a lot of money in this sort of time without having to explain why the goods haven't been dispatched. My guess is the ebay account and the website will be gone in a couple of weeks along with lots of peoples money.

28 days dose seem a long time i thought they were using this time frame so as buyers could not do a paypal claim but paypal gives longer that 28days after purchase the thing that got me thinking is they offer a full refund and money off if they dont deliver, yes offer a full refund but i can not then see how they could afford to offer money on top
  • Ebay say you can only sell items that can be delivered within 30 days so they are sailing close to the wind on that score too.
By the way they changed their user ID because it had the web address in it so ebay probably made them change it.

Some people offering 28 days delivery do this so they can operate with no stock or cash investment. They gather a few orders, get the items from their wholesaler using the money paid by customers and then send them out.

According to the directory I'm looking at, there is no one listed at that address. The previous occupant has "gone away" (in June 07).

It could be that it's newly occupied, of course. But there is no listing for this address on nethouseprices since 2007.
  • Just off the phone to mamas and papas head office in Huddersfield who have confirmed they have no association with https://www.discountbuggies.co.uk. They advised me to tread carefully before buying from this dealer. They cannot commit to say whether it is a scam on not but did confirm that no-one can put out this years latest colours ultima 8 in 1 prams for £325 with free delivery (minus ebay & paypal fees) THAT IS A FACT. Unless they are knock offs. Buyers Beware.
  • I saw these on ebay and thought - too good to be true.
Out of curiosity I emailed the company asking:

'Have you placed your order this month as I am keen to know approx how long it will be for delivery if I was to order today?'

    Reply received:

We currently have all items on the website in stock, however we can only guarantee delivery within the 28 day period, most orders are delivered well within this period. We will send a notice of dispatch email 24 hours prior to delivery. Sorry we cant be more helpful on this matter.
    Many Thanks,

    Emmanouil

I am of the opinion if it looks like pooh and smells like pooh - its probably pooh!
I have contacted ebay about this too so they can be ready for the fallout if it turns out to be a scam.
I just feel really sorry for anyone who will lose out!

Has anyone pointed M&P in the direction of their website? They've nicked the photos and the descriptions straight from the M&P site.

I have been looking at these guys on ebay all day with the thought of getting a pliko as it was so cheap, even replyed to me saying Northern Ireland is included in their freepost (thats actually when alarm bells went beserk in my head......we are rarely included in freepost!!!)
I thought paypal would cover me even when the **** does hit the fan,am i right?
I just thought i would pop in here to check the company out as i dont buy anything unless ive checked it all out on here, lol.I have become very needy and relyant on Martin and his fourms, lol.
I will watch with interest and i hope anyone here who has placed an order either gets a refund....or even better, the buggy!!!

  • Yes I pointed mamas and papas in the direction for their website.

These ultima 8 in 1 prams can be had on ebay from BEGEES BABY NURSERY GOODS STORE

    User ID
    s.gifskdatta57s.gif

At a cost of £495 & £15 delivery. Still cheaper than the RRP

I have emailed all of the buyers of these prams on ebay asking them to be wary as this has all the makings of a SCAM.
    Lets hope Im wrong.
