DeeRam...you had a lucky escape!! Good job you realised! Some people i have read about have actually gone on to work for them. Selling useless junk mostly. One said he had worked up to 10 hours a day some days (including travelling), paying for their own transport etc, trekking round places at all hours, knocking on doors or standing in supermarkets and ended up making just 200 pounds a MONTH! Because it is commission based it is almost impossible to make up the wages they say you can, unless you work 23 hours a day...everyday!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0

to be honest, i was wary after the first interview. Any other interview i have been on they WANT you to know about their company, what they stand for and more importantly, what they sell (no matter if you will be doing the selling or not) and the position you will be starting at. NOT the one you "may" end up at. I do hope the other people i saw in there have not fallen for this.0 -

Exactly, i think they like the young graduate and school leavers as the majority haven't had the work experience to realise what is a genuine opportunity and what is not.
Chances are that even if the people you saw there did start with them, they would have left by now after realising that they are working punishing hours for pennies!! That's why there are so many ads around all the time as the turnover of employees is so high."You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
There are still so many adverts like these going about, its unreal. How on earth do they get away with it?0

I wonder that also. That was how i nearly got sucked in. You just couldn't avoid those type of ads so one day i gave in, pushed my suspicions to the side and applied. They are like vultures, as soon as you send off your cv they are on the phone offering you an immediate interview!! So glad i looked them up. I could have guessed they were a phony company anyway by the state of their offices."You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
Well I saw the adverts, sent my cv off and had a call pretty much straight away! The website was the biggest load of tosh I have ever seen, and when I was told to wear comfortable shoes, I thought that was odd. Never went for my "assessment day" - I cant believe how naive I was, but they dupe hundreds of people if you can go on the amount of people who were at the "interviews".0

Haha, my experience is practically identical to yours!! I got told to wear 'comfy shoes'. Ohhh god, they may as well have said.. 'Wear this t-shirt saying 'MUG' for me as well'. Haha.
So glad didn't go to the second interview. Most people will realise sooner or later i think, when they discover they don't even make enough money to make it worth getting out of bed in the mornings!!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0 -
Its a shame that some people dont find out till they have wasted a few days with them though!0

Yes, but i am kinda glad i went to the first interview. I know now what are the warning signs and what to look out for when it comes to dodgy jobs. I was quite naive before. I now can instantly just look at an ad to tell wherever it is a con or not. It was certainly a bit of life experience anyway!
But you are right, some people actually spend day/weeks/months trying to earn something before realising. Hopefully more people will start to see forums like this and be warned!"You dont need a weather man to know which way the wind blows"0
