yes loans the scam

Bewildering why people would pay to receive but by the same token, if there is no money to spare each month, how will the loan get repaid?
I always wonder that when we hear about being robbed of money they don't have.0 -
My uncle is in debt and when he got his loan he was warned away from Yes Loans. It is very unfortunate, there have been more cases like these. Just avoid them in future and do your research. If you are persistent you should end up getting your money back, just keep trying.0

Yeah likely story newbie :P
Would like to point out Saturday I received cheque bang on 30 days as they said, banked it today! So aimees sarcastic mum must feel small now, calling Keith who's number is listed above worked. If u send letter make sure u confirm they have received it. Not gonna sit here and slag yes loans off as it's my wives fault! But as they said they would they have returned EXACTLY how much we paid!0 -
Oh the person in charge is a lady called Sarah her direct number should u have problems call 01633 712713! SHE is head of yes loans and was very helpful!0

Yes I was silly enough to apply for one fo these loans and listened to their lies over the phone. I just needed some money quickly.
Whenever I ring them from the phone that I gave them my number for they make me wait for at least 15 minutes, If I ring from another number someone answers straight away but when I tell them I would like to claim my money back I'm put on hold for another 15 minutes before someone finally answers and tries to convince me to wait for some non existant paperwork that's on its way. When I told them I just want a refund as I have got the money from elsewhere I was asked "who from?" , "Just a friend", "what's their name?" they then asked me to wait a second and promtly hung up the phone.
I just can't believe scams like this can actually operate for so long in this country. In China or Nigeria I wouldn't be so suprised.
2008 this thread started and it seems they're really raking it in praying on victims of the recession now.0 -

But even BEFORE 2008 there have been many many posters informing you to READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
It all centres around the complete pointlessness of phoning them over and over and over.
How much money have you given them on top of the fee by sitting on hold for 15 mins, then another 15 mins, then another etc...?
When will you ever tire of giving them more and more or your money??
If you read back a page of this thread you will see a link to another post full of Yes Loan donators, within the post is one of mine which clearly details the refund procedure.0 -

Can anyone tell me if they have ever been accepted for a loan by using yes?? I have read lots about cancelling and trying to get the admin fee back but no one has said if they actually got a loan... Do people actually get approved or is it one big scam??0

It is something I have wondered.
My take on it is this...
My credit rating is very good. If I applied to a broker like Yes it would be highly likely they would find me a loan, but probably still with a higher APR then if I applied myself, as they only deal with companies who offer high APR loans.
The thing is 99.9% of the people who apply to them seem to have bad credit (usually very bad) and those people get nothing but passed on to other brokers, or offered payday loans or offered loans where you need a guarantor or finally get offerred a loan nothing like they want such as apply for £5000 over 4 years and be offered £1000 over 2 years, no doubt at something like 59.9% APR.
Before the internet, I guess brokers who dealt with reputable companies could have a use, you pay say £29.99 and have someone look around 100 + companies to get you a loan.
Worth £29.99 possibly. But now with the net you can do it easily yourself for nothing.0
