Shameful...................... Though I'm certain that it was because you were insulting people and their intelligence.
In a couple of notable cases it was hardly an insult. The odour of warm tweed pervades. "Munter" was used in completely the wrong context.
Mail order or not, my wife points out that a villa with pool overlooking the ocean and private beach is not quite the same as a flat with a balcony overlooking a disused shipping canal. Not quite sure what she means though.0 -
That must be quite dangerous. A half kilo coconut falling at say 20 meters/sec = serious damage. Poor you! It's almost like living in a war zone. When can you get out of there to find somewhere decent to live?
9.81 m/s2 give or take bit for variations of gravity.
By virtue of the fact that coconuts tend to fall to ground perpendicularly to a tangent of the circumference of the earth, it is fairly straightforward to plot their trajectory and thus avoid such issues, failing that, send one of the locals up at spear point to dislodge any errant nuts.0 -
If you were to tie the coconuts to a swallow of some sort, let's say African, that might give some protection.0

:rotfl: Very good. I do have to admit that the way you put things is some times quite amusing.
Consider your self removed from my Ignore list for the time being.I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -
So we're all friends now then0

Except for me and !!!!!!, he's put me on Ignore aparently.
I'll really miss his witty remarks. Many of them had me belly laughing.
Actually being serious for a moment, has anyone seen anything remotely humourous written by !!!!!!? I don't mean unintentional humour because then most of his posts would qualify. I have to say I have never seen nary a one.
Does this mean that !!!!!! is a terminator, a cyborg sent back from the future to warn us all about the imploding house price crash that will cause Judgement Day and destroy humanity!
OMG! I think so. It's the only explanation that fits!
I first thought it was because he was a pompous miserable b'stard, but no, the cyborg theory ticks all the boxes!!!

Welcome to the 21st century and the wonderful Digital Age
...Faceless, nameless people aiming insults at equally faceless and nameless people.....with an audience of even more faceless and nameless people....(and you don't even have to leave the comfort of your own front room)
Isn't progress marvellous ??? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
It was worth logging on just to say thanks for this post :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
But if everyone was funny, witty, oh so zany all the time...it would drive you mad. There are all types of personalities within our species and you need all those different traits for the world to work.
Serious types are no less valid than flippant types...they are just different in their approach and outlook....but their contribution is equally as valid.0 -
Even Generali likes a laugh now and then - and he's pretty serious. He's certainly a much more interesting read than the more serious cyborgs on this site.
Sorry, but it's downright weird not to have any sense of humour at all. I'm not expecting Charlie Caroli but even a hint of a joke once in a while would be more normal. I even think I may have seen some of your posts that made me smile.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)
