Does anyone know what happens after the 12 month contract for SKy+ if you stop paying for the premium package or the £10 for multi room ?

Are they able to remove the "record" facility from your box ?

We have just had the £49 deal with Sports package (H Cup rugby) and they put in an extra feed from the dish to the box to allow us to record two channels. Can they switch it off later at thier end

robd831- if you stop subscribing the record and playback facility stops working.

Just had a call from BSkyB who offered me the full package for a half price upgrade, for three months.
No idea why they called but happy to take up their offer.

Saw this on another forum I visit.
    Source is very reliable.
A few, but not all of, amazing deals to begin with Sky on the 12th of Feb.

    1) Sky+ recordings will be free for everyone with a Sky+ box no matter what package they are on, i.e. 2 mix, etc
    2) The Sky+ box will be the standard box from then on. No more ordinary Sky box's.
    3) Multiroom subscription will drop
    4) He also told me they will be giving away something totally free for 6 months, but would not go into anymore detail for me.

This is only a few offers from the many they plan to have.

What package were you on and had you given notice to cancel? I'm intrigued... :)

I am on what i think is called the entertainment mix. No Movies no sport.

I phoned up to see if i could get a deal months agao but was told nothing was on offer.
Why they decided to call on a Sunday morning with this offer I have no idea.
Already in the diary to go back to my old mix when the three months is up
