Identity direct xmas book for 1p!

I ordered 1 book at 1p with the code for free postage , they have not contacted me or took any money out my bank, so I have just emailed them back to see whats happening. I will pay the postage as its still a bargain just hope I don't miss out now because I used the free postage code.

I've just had a email saying my order has been dispatched. I never received a confirmation email or a reply to my email enquiring about order a few weeks back. There was no details of order in the email or the amount charged to my card. There's a few other things waiting to come off CC so can't work out with accuracy what I've been charged yet! Also placed the order so bloody long ago now that can't remember what else I put on it! I know I ordered a second book for a kid on postpals but sure it was a seperate order to a different delivery address and there was only one order number on email?

I can see this @ £4.00 order ending up costing me @ £30.00!!!! :rolleyes::rotfl:

I used the P&P code and never heard a thing from them until tonight.

Same as me, one book for 1p with free delivery and I got an email today that it's been dispatched. I hope you'll get yours soon too.

I ordered two books with the p&p code. The confitmation email said 2p.
I haven't had any money taken from my account but received a dispatch email a couple of days ago!

nothing yet although money was taken from card ....................ok just checked again and not acually taken the money they only authorised it lol Will email them and see whats happening

I received email today saying my book had been despatched but my mum also ordered one with free P&P and she received email yesterday saying her card had been declined and she had to call them to re-arrange payment. It didn't say how much was being charged but would they really bother over 1p?

They have taken £2.01 from my account for the 2 books.
Not the 2p on the invoice, but still a bargain.

Ordered one book for 1p & free postage yet they charged me £2.

I know it's still a bargain....but the principle annoys me. I agreed to pay the requested 1p during checkout and confirmed the order on that basis. How come all of a sudden they can then decide to charge me more.

Part of me says leave it and part of me says complain. Will decide after I've had a cup of tea.

The small print of the free postage code said not to be used with another offer so I guess we were in the wrong using it in the first place. I used it and have been charged £2 but its still a good deal so Im not complaining.
