ooooh, I'm a hurting unit after my night of Wii action (and also because I had the brazilian from hell yesterday! eek!) didn't go to bed til after 12.30 trying to perfect my ski jump form! DH was long in bed...
HUGE MAFFISS Thanks to darling Samantha for the lending of her Wii Fit-I luuuurve you.
Work today for me, 1-8 (CACK) and then home to do some more Wii-ing.
Its there sometimes too much information going on in here?!
I've been told to keep away from the Wii action after drunkenly losing my temper on Mario Kart... Stupid not being able to drive properly on the motorbikes...:beer: Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
afternoon all.
I'm a bittoday.
It's looking pretty likely that next summer where I work will be re-located about 6 miles away and is a complete pig of a journey to do (mostly on a road which is solid all day). It would be completely non-sensical for me to stay, apart from the extra journey time (probably around 45 minutes each way rather than 3!) the extra petrol would make my current £7.50 per hour even more laughable - I might as well sit on the tills at Tesco.
I've decided, even though it's early days, to take control of the situation and between now and when the decision is definitely made (probably Christmas) I'll casually look at what's out there job wise. I won't jump until I know it's definitely going to happen unless something amazing comes up job-wise.
It's sad, these last 3 or 4 weeks have been the most settled I've felt in the last 2 years but this job was only ever about me getting my confidence to go out to work back up again and if this is the way it's going to pan out, then there are plenty more jobs out there. Such a shame though, I was really looking forward to re-building my career there.
So, my new 'plan' is, rather than look to build my career where I am, is to seriously consider any project work which comes up to get a bit more money each month and then when the announcement is made, start actively looking to move on so I hopefully have a new job to go to before the move.
It wouldn't affect my teaching courses as I guess they will stay being taught where they are."Stay Wonky":D
