They're funny aren't they - they seem to be a mixture of the absolutely obvious and the plain ridiculous.

Yep - its maybe just the surly suspicious British nature, but if I was recently bereaved someone left a basket of blank thank you cards on my doorstep step to send out when I get flowers I'd think they we're taking the mick...

on the otherhand I did think the idea of giving the guests at a leaving party some blank post cards pre-addressed with the mover's new location so they'd have post to move in to was quite nice. Still not terribly British though ...

P.S. Linda - is that an uno:uno coffee maker? If it is where'd you get your pods from - I can't find them anywhere:confused:

    Thanks guys!

The mugs are my latte mugs for use with my beloved Senseo machine!

yes, the tiles are painted, they were grey with Waltons style kitchen patterns on them....ICK!

It's certainly bright yellow but I love it! nice and cheerful! I figured that because there isn't actually much wall and quite a lot of light, it could take it!

I LOVE fire colours - golden, amber, red etc...

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The first one is just weird. The second one is quite nice though, I agree - I've got a friend who whenever I've moved (every couple of years usually!) always makes sure she gets my address and there's been a card there within a couple of days of moving in, sometimes even by the time I've arrived, which is lovely.

I've just been reading one about all the things you're meant to do in the morning to make yourself all wide awake and energetic - put your alarm clock at the other side of the room so you have to get up to switch it off, do exercise, do breathing exercises, drink hot water with lemon and ginger.. blimey, I have enough trouble with 'get up, eat something, get dressed' without faffing about like that :o
