Hope it helps, if you look in your add/remove programs you will see the java stuff there. Im actually suprised if it is that, because rather than crashing and burning I would have thought Open office would have prompted you to download the java/java updates!

Well you are just a genius :T guess what ?................i downloaded java and the kind people said that i can have a free open office with the java !!!!! HAHAHAHA

haaa thats the downloader from sun. (ignore that for the moment)
Try with one of your earlier downloads, see if it will install now you have the java platform installed (do a reboot first if you havent to make sure it updates the registery ect for the JAVA)

Ok do post I want to know if you get it working. It might be worth doing the checksum test I posted earlier just to make sure its d/l ok least then you can eliminate that as a problem.
