Message on Avon website - quote:

    Campaign 17 Make-Up Voucher

When your customers spend £10 or more on make up from pages 9-49 in Campaign 17 they can order a FREE Supershock Limited Edition Mascara and will get a £5 off make-up voucher that can be redeemed against selected Avon Colour products in Campaign 2 2010.

Whether 'Colour' means 'Colourtrend' have no idea. More to the point, will we be credited with £5 or £3.70 (i.e. usual nett cost to us I believe)?

I don't think it's ColourTrend at all, I noticed on my order online some make up things come up as:
    Avon Colour SuperFull Mascara Black

So must just be some of the usual range,

  • I've just joined avon in the last week and out of 59 books (pinched some off daughter) have got £126 worth of orders. Has anyone ordered the bag with samples in for £10 as I wondered what it was like

    Hi ladies :)

Can I just ask a quick question? My SD has just started doing Avon. She is 17. SHe says her nan told her she doesn't need to register as self employed as her nan never did. I may be wrong but I thought she would have to? She thinks that because she won't be paying any tax that she doesn't need to bother. I said to her that she should, whether or not she would need to pay any tax.

She says she has phoned revenue and customs and they'e told her she doesn't need to - something to do with being a student?

    Thanks for any advice.

Thanks, Elliebee, didn't know but at the mo will let them still 'bother' me if they wish. Could prove helpful, I guess. I nearly asked her why the 2010 planners were quoted as 10 for £1 but then charged at 5 for £1!:rotfl:

Thanks for that, didn't know they had done this again. I ordered 3 packs (30) and just checked - they're sending me 3 packs of 5 on Monday = 15 . Bit thick or what

It's a VERY common misconception that student's don't pay tax. Everyone pays tax if they go over the threshold!

Think maybe you should keep your SD's age 'under your hat'? Item 2.1 of the T&Cs of the Avon Rep Agreement states that you have to be 18 years of age to be an Avon Rep! ;)

Yep - I usually just email them now to get things sorted as I struggle to understand them too!

I e-mail them too and always get a quick reply. Word of warning - keep all your receipts for items sent back to Avon. I was re-charged £40 for items I had sent back  luckily I still had my returns copy signed by the delivery driver. Funnily enough as soon as I told Avon the exact time and date it was collected and that I still had my returns copy they located my items that had been returned! :jAlso, they had originally tried to refund me a much lesser amount for the items. It was a phone offer type thing and I had paid £40 but they refunded me £10+ less. Other than that each delivery brings new dilemmas (wrong items, not enough items, leaky items and those damn new boxes - which are a nightmare to reseal)!
