Basically to achieve President's Club status you need to make £2,296 in sales within your next two campaigns.

However, if you achieve £353.23 in the next 13 campaigns you will become an Associate and get discounted books.

Almost spot on ! However, you need £2,296 (average) sales in each of the two campaigns to make (Bronze) President's Club for 2009, and you need £353.23 (average) sales for the next 13 campaigns to make Associate member.

    Hi All

I wonder if you can help me with some questions about the sale brochures?
What does everyone do with these?

I'm asking as I got one of my largest orders for products that were in the sale book and then on order day they're all - out of stock, no further stocks expected.

Is this a routine occurrence for sale products? I'm only on my third campaign now so I'm not sure.

I was thinking if things are out of stock a lot in the sale brochures it may be better to limit these to just my friends and family and use only the main book for my territory?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

Unfortunately this is a problem with the sale catalogue, as the items are normally end of lines and therefore there are limited amounts in stock. I know some reps don't even use the sale catalogues at all because of this. I do and i get good orders from them, but it is a good idea to warn your customers that the stocks are limited if you decide to use them!

I'm impatient waiting for my delivery! Took a day off work, hope it doesn't come in the evening so I've wasted a day off.
  • Because of the size of my streets and also as it is getting darker (was out in the rain and wind in the dark last night - me no likey!), I am tempetd to order enough books to do just two drops in whole territory. At the moment I am doing about four or five.

Interested to know how hard everyone works their books or do you only do one drop?

Also toying with the idea of putting a slip on the front to the effect that if they don't want to see a book let me know. Does anyone else do this or is it frowned upon?
  • I have a huge new street and have not been able to canvess the whole lot as yet but I dropped 25 books out over the weekend and went and collected them up last night.

Three book weren't left out and no-one was in so I left a note saying if they wanted to order please telephone before Thurs (when I have to submit order) - oh well!!

Anyway (waffling!), out of the rest I got four orders totalling - get this - £153.50! I still can't believe it - for first orders! and thats not including another house that said his wife definately wants to order, so agreed that she will telephone it through before Thurs.

Meaning that I have now hit £532 for this campaign!! (trying to put my eyes back in their sockets!).

    Well done!
    As to your question before...

I put in my own slip saying 'please tick here if you don't wish to receive anymore Avon catalogues' so that I don't feel as if I'm pestering people who aren't interested.

I usually pop my books out for 3 nights then collect them, and pop them in some more, saves me buying tons!
  • Hi Winsons well done :T I collected my first lot of 30 book in on Monday and did not get 1 order i have got my fingers crossed for tonights collection though. You are doing really well keep it up.

About the note to say whether they want a book or not im going to do that in my next campaign as alot of the books I put out dont even look like they where taken out of the bag and I would rather give the book to someone who might order. :D
    :) New Avon Rep :)

Thats what I was thinking Sheena82. I know that some haven't been read at all by the way I put the slip in and my offer coupon. A couple of people didn't even put them in the bags - just left them on their door step.

One person who I know hadn't read it went to the trouble of putting the book in the bag and leaving it out but when I opened it up the front cover was all ripped up! - gee thanks - I won't be able to recanvass with that!

the 1st time i went round with avon i knocked on every door and asked if they were interested. or might be interested in the future...if not...cross it off the list and dont worry about it. on all the order forms i wrote 'are you interested in receiving the next avon brochure? yes/no' alot of people used this which was helpful. so even if they werent in when i knocked i could still ask them in one way or another.

the only thing to remember if you do this is to check the tick box as soon as you get the book as otherwise you will get home and not know who is/isnt interested

after doing that for my 1st 2 camps to make sure i gave everyone the chance to have a look etc i now know how many to buy.

i usually have one set ready and bagged which ill hand out just before my delivery to anyone who isnt expecting a delivery and leave them for a few days so i can concentrate on getting my deliveries done. (all by buggy with baby inc lol)

new book in with each delivery with a longer drop time incase they want their delivery a few days after etc

so...sorry im waffling now lol...midweek ill pick up the first books then wont need to go out again till the weekend to pick up books from deliveries

after that ill drop a few through any new doors (live on a building site lol)

so ill be out about 3 times to pick up/drop books and usually drop and pick up in one trip

so.....lol...i work the same books a few times but its usually the lack of sandwich bags that stops me doing it all in one go...

no idea what my point was now x

See this is what I said, the website doesn't explain these things clearly. I must sit down and email them and tell them to make it more clearer and provide more information. :D
