Yeah never listen when someone says 'oh it will be alright' they only say that because it's not them. Always tell the tax man within 3 months of going self employed, and always declare you income, it's just not worth the risk, and it isn't difficult, and the irony is that you end up paying less and sometimes even getting money back by declaring than you would if you didn't.

No worries, just glad you got it sorted. Sorry you got under MOV this time, keep plugging away and once people see you come back they will trust you and place orders/more orders, because of the high turnover of reps, it puts people off ordering at first, also you might want to ask for more territory from your area manager. Ask your sales leader to request some for you as you didn't reach the minimum last time, they should give you some.

Check the form first, they might say on the bottom that an item is delayed, if not then yes, ring them straight away and tell them, they should dispatch it straight away to you.

just to check, how would this affect if you were going to be on benefits?

would you still declare? or would it affect benefits etc.

I havent delivered to every house this time only houses who have ordered in the past, this is my 5th camp so I figure if someones not ordered in the last 4 they arent going to now! Going to email me asm and ask for some more streets to canvas :T

Thanks girls to all that replied. I think once I get established I can leave the books out for a bit longer. I spoke to my ASM today, who by the way is fab (alot better than my last one) she said that she thinks if you leave them too long people forget about them. But I do usually like to give them a bit longer but I've got to get 200 houses done.

I have only been away from Avon for 4 campaigns and I am so glad that I am doing it again. I have been missing my make up! Shock horror, I had to BUY some face cream the other day with REAL money!! lol. :rotfl:

Right i have just sent my order off.... I think its about £465 so about £80 up on last time, would have been more but i didn't do a few roads( in dispute with another rep)
She is doing my roads.
Got 2 reps signed up another one this week and a new area for me to cover..196 houses (must do a count up of my round).

Found out i am on mailplan E so not too bad.

I am afraid I don't know anything about benefits, however, I would guess that when you fill out your benefits forms it asks what your take home pay was and your outgoings and uses that to decide on how much you are due, the take home pay will be your 'profit' as a self-employed person, which will be much less than being employed as you can deduct everything related to the business to get your final 'profit' figure. It is always more beneficial to be self-employed than employed - tax wise!

Hi, just checking sure you do this everyone anyway but when you are so close to mov do you remember to order something for yourself to take it up to the mov level? That way you may still not earn but least you get something free xx

Can't see anything on the invoice ... called them and they've added it to my next order

It depends on the benefits. I used to work at the jobcentre, PM me what you're claiming and I'll let you know.
