I went to collect a book today from a regular customer and found she had put out 2 books..strange I thought, she always give me back her books. The other book was from another rep.
She had been told to canvass my roads as even though reps are given territory, they don't always do their roads, so they might be free.
Cheek!
As it turns out, she lives on my one of my roads, but she lives in the flats area. I actually stopped canvassing the flats, due to my books not being left out despite reminders, and finding books thrown in the garden, my order form floating around on the street...
But I phoned this rep, she was lovely and told me her next door neighbour has been wanting to buy Avon for years and never had a rep.. and she has had orders from her, for the last 2 months, her flat mate and some other customer who lived in the flats. I told her I didn't canvass the flats and explained why.
Great I thought, I was doing a territory drop tomorrow with a helper, now I am going to get a "I've already had an Avon book"... but I am putting out C17, whereas she was putting out C16.
I have told her she can keep whatever customers she got, but to let me know so I don't drop books at their house.0 -
Hi guys
I joined avon last monday and my SL gave me 20 C15 books and 20 C16 books. I gave the C15s to one street and got a couple of orders and the C16s to another, is this ok? Can I put orders from 2 campaigns in at once?
Thanks0 -

Hi LJC :hello: and welcome! Hope you'll find lots of help and support on here.
I seem to remember doing just that when I started, but I think that the best way it to put the order through for the C16 book, and then you can back-order from the previous one (just use the little 'drop-down' box on the left hand side of the order screen). Don't forget to compare the books to see which is cheapest for each item though - you can sometimes get a free gift that way too and either earn brownie points with your customer or keep it to give as a gift at a later date. Just watch your credit limit though - your ASM or SL should be able to tell you what it is.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

(someone should seriously write a book)
Well Add This to the Book.
This morning I went out collectiong books in the rain, all glamorous in my big red coat! I knocked on one door, but the lady did not seem to be in, so I went next door but one where the front door was open (even though it was raining.) I found their book outside, so just picked it up at the same time as I heard the first lady calling me back. I went to chat to her, with the book I had just picked up in my hand. I then realised that there was an order in it but no name or phone no on it.
So after the chat, went back to the house to get the details. The door was still open, so popped my head round, to find young man lying back on his sofa, half naked, pleasuring himself. I had just been about to knock on the door so I made a hasty exit.
I went to get some other books, then returned about ten minutes later. The door was still open, so I cautiously looked but he had gone. The TV was playing !!!!!!. I wrote a note asking them to call me with the details and left it on the stairs and shut the door behind me. I have met him before and he seemed a nice young man, but they have never ordered before.
I left feeling distinctly disconcerted. Dont get me wrong- I am a middle aged woman, seen it, done it, but I cant help thinking he must have known I was there and that I saw him. I dare not tell my DH- he thinks Avon is a waste of time anyway. I feel uncomfortable about going back now , but its an order for £16.So wondering about forgetting about worrying about their name etc and just deliver it with a smile and hope .
Dogs , blokes, wind, rain- i have never had so much fun.....0 -
OMG Movingon
I really don't know what I would have done in that situation. I probably would have run for the hills.
I would definitely feel strange about going back. I would just put it to the back of your mind and hope the female of the house answers when you deliver their order.
I'm delivering my orders on Friday, I'm hoping mine are a bit me decent than that and if they're not, they at least close the door!!!

I just needed to vent really. I feel upset and I dont really know why. I am a grown up after all......0

You couldn't make this stuff up!! Why would anyone do that with the door open? I don't know why things still surprise me. xx0

Movingon maybe he thought you had nothing on under your glam red coat :rotfl:seriously though, I would have been mortified...especially as I will be taking my kids with me when I go collecting books  it is weird though isn't it when front doors are just sort of open...I had that with a couple yesterday as when I put my books through the doors opened at the same time, didn't seem like anyone was in either
anyway, I did well yesterday as it was a lovely day and got a couple of orders, my total for c16 is so far £180 and I know I have another order at dh work, so not too bad...still waiting for my asm to send me the customer list she said she had for my territory. I have canvassed the whole street now and have 6 customers, she said there were 20! but I am hoping that some people might wait to see if I am consistent yet..
Weather back to horrible and rainy today..hope it cheers up for Thu and Fri as back out then collecting for the last time this campaign...woo hoo, am really loving Avon so farStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
Ohmygoodness Movingon! That's a real eye opener! I'm not sure how i would have reacted to that myself!0
