I will be getting lots in...have 3 kiddies myself and I think at the normal price it is a bit expensive (Tescos equivalent is usually better value ) so at 99p its a bargain!!

Do many of you guys get stuff like this in as 'stock'? I expect it is easier to do this when you get regular customers and you know their likes - many years ago my Mum did avon and I used to deliver some of it for her...one of our neighbours absolutely loved soft musk and whenever I delivered to her she would always spray it about a bit lol....

I think with avon they deliberately overprice stuff, some people happily pay that price as they can afford it, and then when they reduce it or have special offers, people are more likely to buy it, as it is a bargain.

They probably could always sell it at 99p. I buy some stuff from Boots and from Superdrug depending on the cost and if I have Advantage card points, buy with that or if baby event on at boots.

But at 99p, worth stocking up!

I was buying some stuff for stock for customers but have found that they are all varying what they buy and when so couldn't keep stock. would run out of space..lol.

Hi everyone, I recently started avon so need to register as self emplyed, I know that you can claim back petrol and things but would my car insurance have to be down as business use for that? What else would I be able to claim back? Thanks

That's a really good question. Personally, I'd be wary of declaring car expenses if you're not insured for business use as things can be so easily cross-referenced these days. Possibly better to maximise all your other allowable expenses and forget about the car costs.
What does everyone else think

Thank you, I may do that. Does anyone else have any ideas? and Does anyone else know what I can claim for?

    Hi all,

I recanvassed one of my roads last week with C15 as I figured it wouldn't matter if I didn't get the cats back (I'm on C16 now). Was thinking perhaps people would want to start buying early for Xmas.

Gave out 18 brochures and picked them up today in the pouring rain. One new client invited me in to ask about lipstick shades and ended up ordering 3 with the view to send back what doesn't suit her. Also got 2 other new clients, so total for that recanvass stands at just under £60 :T. Really pleased I made the effort.
