Yes we can cry on each others shoulders on the bad days( hope we don't get any tho)
I have given a girl some books to get orders and i am seeing her on monday.
My daughter is signing up too, she already has orders.
Went out brochure dropping the other day so will see what happens there, also been given some more area so things are looking up.
Good luck with your sign ups too.
have you done them all on your own or with ASM there?
I will prefer to be on my own...
Yes I am like, you, I prefer to be alone, I feel much more pressure when someone is watching me!!
The first sign up I went with my asm, she did the whole thing and I took notes, the next one is all me, I don't feel too nervous about it, sure it will be ok, more nervous that it will be cancelled or I will drive all that way and she will say at the end of the meeting, I have changed my mind
I have some new areas too, sunday I am collecting 65 brochures from my new road, and next campaign will have another 120 houses!!

Hmm... im only 23, unmarried (altho engaged) and we live in a house that i dont rent.. but im not the homeowner! (we kinda live rent free as a caretaker) I do however have 2 empty credit cards... 2 clear overdrafts and no outstanding debt in my own name.. so id probably be better off IF they credit checked me with the credit agencies
May keep my first few campaigns friends and family only!
You will probably be fine, I wouldn't worry too much, the best thing is to join, and once you get your account number ring up, or ask your asm or sl to ring and ask for your credit limit, if it is reasonable then you should do some territory, if not just do friends and family until you build it up, like you say. They usually only actually turn down people who have defrauded avon in the past and people that are really young.

The woman that signed me up is useless! I've met her once - when she signed me up, I've spoken to her once on the phone - I had an issue with my first order and she was less than helpful, luckily I mangaed to work it out for myself. I've texted her a few times and rang her but got no response. Also, she only gave me 7 copies of C14 (my first campaign) and then I had to chase up the copies of C15 that I should have got straight away. I want more roads but I'm not going to go knocking and risk stomping on anyones roads, although I'm 99% sure no one does the roads I have in mind. I even complained to the woman that rang up from Avon HO who asked how I was getting on.
Sorry for the rant, I just want to expand my mini empire!:rotfl:
You can't get a new SL, but have you tried contacting your asm? I went to my asm's monthly meeting and met her for the first time and she was ever so helpful, she said she would give me borchures or whatever I need and will go prospecting with me if I like, so perhaps give that a go.

You do know that if you are receiving statutory maternity pay you are allowed to be self-employed whilst you are on maternity - I looked into it for my best friend, it has it on the HMRC website. You are not allowed to be 'employed' by someone else but you are allowed to be self-employed, plenty of people do it during maternity.

yeah unfortunetly im on Maternity Allowence cos my job was only based on a temporary contract and i had only been there a few months so i wasnt eligble for SMP paid by them. Since then my contract has obviously finished and the position refilled with someone permananent so no scope for me going back either.0 -

Thanks Kat,
How would I find out who my ASM is? I was never told and I really want to get some more roads. If I phoned Avon would they be able to tell me? Sorry if I'm being dense, I guess I should have asked more questions in that 10 minute meeting I had with my SL! :eek:Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p
