I'm so glad I don't get the Avon calls. Sounds like they should be out on the roads selling Avon, with their hard sell.0

Hi all :j
Picked up a drop today and not one order :-( never mind, a friend dropped round for lunch and ordered £17 worth so thats something...I am on my first campaign (14+15 as I don't have that many of either book!) and at the moment I am on £110 from 5 orders so not too bad, am hoping my dd's nursery will order from me, reminded them today that I will be ordering on Monday...
Sil also has a book, as does a lady ad dh's work + my neighbour took a book and said she would show it at work so fingers crossed might get something there..
Have done my last drop before ordering, only about 10 books but worth a go!!
also my as came round today and said the lady that used to do my territory has got a customer list and that she would bring it to me or post it! so am really hoping to get this...my territory is a road with around 160 houses and so far have only managed to drop to 40 of them, am going to get lots of C16's and try to get the rest of the road done in the next couple of weeks, but would be great to have that customer list!
I am thinking of having an avon party, I would do my first 2 campaigns and then base the party around C17, my friend is a dab hand with a make up brush so she might do a bit of a makeover for me...do any of you have any tips for doing a party? like the sort of bits you buy in to demonstrate etc? I was thinking of giving them all a few samples and getting some make up for the makeover....am already going to get the moneymaker perfume (christian lacroix one) so could use one of those as a demo too....any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks to all who contribute on here, I am so glad I found this thread :TStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
Thanks aureol for the coral code:T
I got charged for the £30.00 offer and didn't even get the products!, I clearly said no too. I have already claimed the money back, there was no way I would have been able to sell those products!
ETA I just tried to replace the pnk gloss with coral ones, but I must have put in the right code to begin with. On the invoice the code is 59766 but it says Twist and Glide Lip Gloss Pink, but I definitely ordered coral and aureol you also said this is the right code for coral too? I have emailed Avon and told them the problem.Avon Rep

Hello, i just got an late order of a new customer for £30, but i submitted my order yesterday. Is there anyway i could add it on or do i just have to wait until the next campaign???
thanks :-)0 -
You can do an additional delivery for £2.50, or you can wait until your next campaign order where it will be free0

For the new absynthe perfume, when I received my C17 books this week (being a SL I order quite a bit ahread)....I also received loads of scented cards - they look quite smart, and have the womans fragrance on one side, and the mens on the other - so hoping it might actually sell! Though I doubt it, I've only ever sold one bottle of perfume that is more than £10, I do sell a fair bit of perfume, but only around the £5 or £6 mark so not sure my customers will spend that much more even if it is coming up to Christmas!!!
Maybe get your order delivered to work, and perhaps your OH could collect it from their the following morning? I get mine left in the shed, but we are in a pretty safe location and nothing valuable in there and he locks it up afterwards, we just leave the padlock unlocked and he fastens it up so he doesn't need a key.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

You could try ringing up fastrack, you might be able to get it added onto your order with any luck and then you wouldn't need to pay the extra delivery charge, plus any additional orders need to hit the £78/£148 mark again for you to get any discount on them.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I have just submitted my order, I like to do it a day early in case there are any issues.
my 4th campaign and I've got £471 of orders, so quite pleased.
as I've previously mentioned I have been offering a free gift when you spend £20 or more. I'm running this offer until Christmas as an incentive.
the free gifts are items that I've bought from the clearance section of HT.
I have previously given one of the following; cosmetic bag (i paid 75p each) dreamlife shower gel (75p each) facial scrub (75p each) lip gloss (75p each). i ordered 5 of each.
In C17 HT (with C15) I have just ordered 15 bottles of Naturals Banana & Coconut Milk Body Lotion at 50p each.
I keep a list of who has been given what so that I don't give the customer the same free gift 2 campaigns in a row.Missysx

Hi All,
I hope you can help to make my mind up about something.....
I've been doing Ann Summers parties for nigh on four years now and I'm so fed up of people cancelling their parties, people not being in when you go to do their party (believe me it happens!) and generally sales not being too good recently that I've considered giving it up and doing Avon. I don't know anyone who does it to get advice but I do know that I don't seem to get any books from people around in my area nor do people at work seem to get anyone delivering to theirs so there may be a gap for me to do it!
With not knowing anything about it and how the commission thing works, I don't know whether to cut my losses and give up the A/S parties or just keep on going if I can make more (when the parties do go ahead!)
Anyone made the change from party plan to Avon?
Thanks in advance,
Gill
Hi Gill
I did Ann Summers for about 6 years and was a Unit Organiser for most of it so I totally feel your pain with cancellations etc. How many parties a week do you do?
My suggestion would be maybe start up the avon and run it alongside to see how you get on. Personally, I do think there's more money to be had from the parties but it is so much more inconvenient and time consuming! With Avon, you can fit it around you and it doesn't take too long really... as with any sales job the more you put in the more you get out, so if you were to devote a day canvassing the area for new business you'd be more likely to make money than just sticking to your territory.
You could even put an Avon book in with your Ann Summers orders!0 -
Drat about the lakeland bags I ordered some cello bags from ebay yesterday as I have a cofee morning and a fete and a fundraiser and wanted to do some gift bags. think I will still orer some of the Xmas ones as they will be good for smaller items like nail varnish.I have never met a calorie yet I didn't like!!0
