Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hi all, am just in my first week as an avon lady and appreciate all your hints and tips on this thread!

I got my first order today for £34.50 (from a friend)have managed to put a brochure into the nursery my littluns go to today too which I was pleased about so fingers crossed...I have been given a territory and I am going to do a drop tomorrow and was going to put a slip in to say I will collect on Monday...do you think that is ok time wise?

also was thinking of getting the bag that you can get on your first or second campaign,think it is £15...was just wondering if it is worth getting?

also I would really love to hear what products you find are your customers favourites...I have been a customer for a while and my mum used to do avon too and I love the glimmerstick eyeliners and the footworks stuff.....

Thanks again for all the great tips on here, especially to elliebee for emailing me her tips...I am using the 'new to area' slip and the one that says about when I will pick up etc. when I do my first drop tomorrow :j

Hi I will be due to place my first order. My order will be £600 plus. Still got a few to collect at start of week. I have £500 credit limit so how will it work when I place my order. Will I have to pay for the extra above what I have as credit limit. Also I will be ordering early with next campaign as I on holiday. When I pay for camp 15 online will it come off my balance right away as I will literally be paying for campaign 15 and placing 16 order.
Hope I get all the order and nothing need to be returned or replaced as I have 6 weeks to get order out paid and next one done before I go.
Also I was going to order new rep bag with samples but the lady I took over from gave me her bag so thinking I wouldn't bother. Am I right in thinking there isn't £10 worth of samples included so i would be better just to order some myself bearing in my mind I will hopefully get the samples etc for hitting targets in first 6 campaigns.

Has anyone else had problems with brochre 14 and the buy one choose 2 free across pages 98-103. I am trying to back order 29082 intense protection hand cream and 39974 sos hand cream. When I check my subtotal it shows the 2 with different item numbers and charging £3.50 each instead of £3.50 for three.

The £500 limit is at your cost, not brochure prices, When I started my limit was only £200, so I signed my husband up, making our combined limit £400. Our 1st campaign came over £700 but it went through with no problem - my ASM did say that I could have paid the difference up front but didnt!

When you pay your balance it comes off within 24hrs, I payed my bill & placed my order on the same day without a problem!

As you already have a rep bag, & looks like you will be hitting targets without any troubles I wouldnt buy the sample pack/bag. I did as I had previously read that it had perfume & full sized products in, but not any more they dont!

hi again people...quick question...the lower/higher order value incentive for the first 6 campaigns....does it mean that you have to read the values in each campaign or over 2 campaigns?
ie £148 (whatever the higher is now) made up over camp 14 + 15 = organiser + fragrance samples or is it £148 in camp 14 and another £148 in camp 15??

does anyone understand what i mean?? lol

It's £148 in 14 and £148 in 15 I think :P Yeah, thats right...I think it says on the thing (two secs, I'll find it)

Underneith "Achieve Award Sales of" it says "(in each Campaign)"

So yes, in both. Haha, I think I must be tired or something

Hmm, so how do you find out your credit limit for your first camp? One of my reps is at £300+. Call avon?

Hey everyone,

Just a quick question. How many books to you all order per Campaign? I have found that I lose a few and am tempted to do C15 with 30 books!

Normally 20 - I was circulating through friends and family, then reusing them for my territory.

Now that I have about 100 more houses I will have to order a few extra so I have ordered another 20 and will turn these around quicker than normal.

It all depends on how many houses you have and how often you can get to them to collect and re-drop.

I have around 200 houses plus family and friends etc, but some of the houses are big and have big gates so I cant knock to get my books back, so I have to let them go. I generally leave the books for 2 days, drop on the monday then pick them up on the weds and thurs. I'm moving house soon though but i'll be able to keep the same territory, but I may ask for a few more roads.
