some of my regulars near me constantly give me the run around.last week i put book through one door with note that i was collecting it on Tuesday when i took the order.she wasn't in so i left a note and still didn't hear so i left message on her answering machine for her to ring me.nothing.rang her last nite and she told me she'd been babysitting when i'd been and when i asked her if she'd listened to my message she said 'somebody must've rung after you'.eh????? i got the money today when i took order round but her husband didn't know where the book was ( there's an order in it) and his wife's not back till Monday so i told him to tell her to put the book through my door.few campaigns ago i'd put a note through her door on the Saturday telling her i wanted the book by Monday as the order went in on Tuesday-so she put it through on the Wednesday! i've got so many stories i could tell you......
  • I've had a customer do something similar today. This is a lady who called me and I went out especially to collect her order. Anyway, I put notes through doors earlier this week saying I would be delivering tonight and the order total etc. This afternoon I get a text telling me that they don't want the order anymore, so being the cheeky cow that I am I text back asking if she wanted to arrange alternative delivery, heard nothing back tho. Now I'm in 2 minds whether to bother giving her a book next time?

As for her return, do I just take her order off the total when I pay Avon and arrange the return?

My ASM has got back to me this morning.. apologised for the incident with the driver happening and said shes passed my email on to the carriers to deal with?:confused: Thats about it. So god knows whats gonna happen now.....

I only made Associate Presidents Club this campaign for reaching my target in the first 12 months of being a rep... not made the 2009 PC status yet have to sell £981 by the end of C18 to do that..... According to the letter i got today i only get discounted brouchures and the PC club demo prices in HT for being an associate member. I did get a certificate today aswell though! :) (bit gutted it doesnt have my name on though as i was gonna frame it :o:rotfl:)

    BIG CUSTOMER MOAN.....

i put notes through on wednesday reminding people i was delivering the next day - one customer came out asking if i was delivering so i said no it would be tomorrow so she said ok see you then... so i went back yesterday and knocked on 2 seperate occassions and she didnt answer.. so i put a note through saying i was knocking back tonight and left my phone number asking to call me if not convenient... went back tonight... and no one was in!!! She never leaves her books out and all 3 orders shes ever made ive had problems getting/delivering. Tempted not to deliver a book anymore!

Sick of running round after people :( All in all I had 7 people NOT even bothering to tell me they wouldnt be in last night.. so had to go out tonight again to both territories.. and still have 5 orders i couldnt deliver.....most for not being in.. one who doesnt get their giro till monday......Oh and still have one order from LAST campaign for £22 sat here!!

My customers have never been like this before... but past few campaigns they are getting really bad at never having the money or not letting me know they wont be in..! Really pee's me off because ive been doing it for a year now and give them plenty of notice and have set days etc... makes me feel really low like they think its ok to have me running round to fit in with their busy lives cos obviously i dont have one of my own  :o:confused: Maybe im just having a bad week and feeling over senstive i dunno...:o

I wouldn't bother giving them a book again, certainly not for a good while - if they say they don't want it anymore it could be that maybe they've lost their job, just changed their mind, realised they don't have the money anymore.....yes when you put the returns through, it will tell you how much you will be credited with, if you underpay avon by that amount then when you swap onto the next campaign it will have been credited on and your balance will be zero. Your returns go back with your delivery driver when they deliver your order. Make sure you put a barcode return label on the parcel so that it can be processed x

I only made Associate Presidents Club this campaign for reaching £6300 in sales in my first 12 months of being a rep... not made the 2009 PC status yet have to sell £981 by the end of C18 to do that....... so i only get discounted brouchures and the PC club demo prices in HT according to the letter i got today with my Certificate! :) (bit gutted it doesnt have my name on though as i was gonna frame it :o:rotfl:)

some people are just useless - what I've started to do, if people aren't in when I go to deliver (same as you I put a note through a few days before saying when I will be going, and the amount they owe) I push another letter through saying sorry I missed you, please ring to rearrange delivery....after a few days I usually text them if I have a mobile number, but if not I just wait and see...if they can't be bothered to contact me then I can't be bothered to run around after them! This way it gets rid of the awkward customers and leaves you with the nice ones, so your deliveries are much easier lol!

ah hugs Johanne. I have only been doing Avon since March and I was out shopping today when I had customers phoning and texting to arrange deliveries, rearrange deliveries...so had to leave my shopping - for winter shoes and come home to deliver. Thought at least that is a few more deliveries out of my front room and money in bank to pay Avon. I can always go shopping next week when i won't have DS and stroller with me.

Yes, people are strange aren't they!

I think elliebee was going away for a few days, think I remember reading something on Facebook, that's probably why her PMs are full.
  • Hi Everyone!
Ive had yet another rep on my teritory - but looks like it could be a SL!
They went to one of my customers & said they were the new rep - my book was on the doorstep ready for collecting!
Phoned/emailed my ASM but they are just switching over as mine has been off for 4mths.
Would you guys ring the SL & see what she is up to or leave it for the ASM to deal with it?

I would ring the number on her book if possible and have a word, thats what the wife does anyway, no nonsense !
  • Got my latest order today and for the first time in 4 campaigns I had items missing and 1 item I was sent an alternative. Took me donkeys to sort through everything - I think it's rubbish the way avon send their orders out. I did Virgin Vie years ago and when you placed your order you put in the customer details and then your order came ready packaged, in proper virgin bags that you didn't have to pay for... WAY better than the avon way!!

Can I be a wee bit cheeky and ask if you lovely avon lovelies would vote for my dd in the kinder competition? she's in the top 100 but is slipping slightly and i'd like to kep her in the top 100 if I can as we can't afford holidays at the mo so winning one would be rather nice! (would also be highly amusing to walk down the choccy aisle at tesco and see her grinning at us from a box of chocs!)
