hiya im new to this forum but have been doing avon for a few campaigns now.
Firstly when canvassing i knocked on every door, introduced myself and asked if they were interested in avon. also i wrote 'would you like to continue receiving AVON brochures? yes/no' in the 'messages' box on the order forms, that way they could have a look if they were unsure and let me know for next time. if people were out i dropped a book through their door and they could let me know the same way when i went to collect it. saves money on books and time knocking on doors that arent interested. (also i made a note of all the 'lonely men' will come to that later**)
i have printed out slips saying things like 'thanks for your order of x amount, this will be delivered on..... please contact me for any special delivery times' i think you can download them from the avon website anyway. they seem to work. the first time i posted it in an evelope suggesting they put their avon money in the envelope ready...and the majority did
I also made an avon book sized flyer offering a selection of gift bags. the customer can choose how much they want to spend, pick a theme ie bath & body/relaxing...and i choose the contents, put it in a pretty bag and even add a blank card for them to write out themselves. in the card i put a slip listing the contents/what it does etc.
on the opposite side of the flyer is an order form with their name/add, the name/sex of the recepient, the occasion, favourite colour etc so i can use that info to make up a bag that suits that person.
i did the free gift for orders over £20 and that worked quite well, though to start with i had to order more than one clearance item as most of them were out of stock and i couldnt offer a free gift and then say i couldnt get one! so its hit and miss with that one
I have offered out feedback forms with each delivery so the customer can review a product they have purchased. i have added my own review on the correct page so they can see what I thought of that product too and where they can buy it if they like the sound of it etc. i am yet to know how well this works as i only started with this campaign. hopefully though it will let me know more about different products in case customers ask me things and i can also copy the reviews and hand them out too or just make up a 'review' book for me to refer to if needed.
i have a slip which i put in with each book (at the front so u can see it through the bag) saying please leave out on .......... for me to collect, thanks. that seems to do the trick.
for october BCAM i have already made flyers highlighting the avon crusade pages, explaining that a % goes to breast cancer awareness, pre warning of the upcoming customer competition and also that i will personally donate 5% of each order i receive throughout october to BCA. not a money making tip but a good charity idea. along with that ive included an envelope and said if they dont want to order but do want to donate they can either leave it in the envelope or go to (the avon BCAM website) to donate online etc in novemeber i will then add another flyer saying how much WE have raised and congrats etc
soon im going to make a flyer about...dun dun duuuun...christmas. with order + delivery dates from whenever till xmas and say about possible stock issues etc so customers can see how important it is to order early when it comes to AVON + christmas even if it is scary. also for those LONELY MEN** in big letters ill write something like 'BUY THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE XMAS PRESENTS FROM AVON, NO NEED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE, NO P&P AND I CAN WRAP THEM FOR YOU!' job done
thats about all the ideas ive used - that i can think of...one question:
HAVE WE DECIDED THE BUMPER BOXES ARE POINTLESS?? WHAT COMES IN THEM? i was thinking about ordering the £30 one and saw earlier someone said it was bad but im on camp 14 so dont know if that makes a difference or not.camp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

Hi I've been using it and I really like it when it's first sprayed but I can't tell I'm wearing it about half an hour later and not one person has commented on it. Personally I wouldn't recommend it on the basis of its staying power!Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -
well i bit the bullet, and my SL will be round tomorow with my brochures. Im excited as i already have a few orders from friends. I really like some of the ideas on these pages, which i will be stealing LOL! :rotfl:Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!0

Usually you get a credit limit of £200 - which is actually £200 of products from avon, rather than £200 of orders, if that makes sense! So you are £151, so you can take 25% off that, making you well within limits. Having said that, my first order was for over £300 and didn't have any problems, the amount you are given is dependent upon various things. If you want to double check you can ask your sl/asm to ring avon and find out, I know they definately can, it might be possible for you to find out also if you rung customer services.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi - I smelt the new perfume and I don't like it!! Am going to put some demos into people's packs who like fragrances.
I've been to deliver an order and the customer gave me back the foot spray she said she bought a few camps ago and the spray doesn't spray any more. Is this ok to send back? Also, do you have to give this to your driver as you can't post aerosols? I can't see a code relevant to replace it with and how many days do they have to replace them?0 -

Yes it would need to go via your driver, as you can't post aerosols for safety reasons. I know its a daft question, but there is definately liquid left in it?!?! There should be a reason code for returning close to faulty - at work at the mo so can't check - just go for the closest one, and you can choose to replace it with the same product, not sure if you would be able to get a replacement at the same price (ie so it didn't cost anything) or not with it being a few camps ago as never had this happen to me before!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
There is some left, about half, I checked and it's coming out horribly, like it's all blocked. I can't find it on the search for returns though, I think she has had it too long!! What can I do??0
