Hi all, I am due to be signed up on Friday with my sister (who I believe is going to try to be a sales leader)..

I have read through a lot of this thread and have also received some fantastic info from ellebee via email (thanks again elliebee :T) and I can't wait to get started (although I will be away for 2 weeks from this weekend so won't be able to start till I get back)

Anyway my Mumm used to do avon a number of years back (only to family and friends) and I remember she got a big box of stuff nearish to Christmas for an offer price..(think there may have been a few price options/size boxes) , full of stuff to demonstrate at a christmas party plan etc, lots of different bits like jewellery, lingerie, decorations, perfume etc. I was wondering if they do this every year? and if so, would I have already missed the offer this year?

also I think my area code is going to be 230 does anyone know what mailplan that would be?

Am brimming with excitement about getting started, especially as my sister is doing it too, we keep ringing each other to talk about it lol!!

Oh wow...I've found avon looking stuff on vistaprint. It's actually the pink border thing that they use. So, obviously we can't use the logo without permission, but doesn't the logo only count as "AVON"? So are we not allowed to use that in print, just avon in block capitals? I'm confused :P But I wanna buy so much stuff now..

Basically we can't use any of the actual logos, or pics of products etc, but yes you can use AVON in capitals.hth

If you've got your contract to hand, it should say somewhere on the top which mailplan you are on.

As for the packs, they do different packs all the time, usually advertised in the HT mags, but they do also phone up sometimes with ones.....except they can be very pushy on the phone, they rang my OH last night and practically tried to force him to order some bottles of the new reese witherspoon perfume, trying to convince him with the free clutch bag! pmsl, I could just imagine him taking it out shopping with him :p

    what does LOA-number stand for?

Length of Association, i.e. number of campaigns you've been an Avon rep.

    Hi guys,
    just a quick question,
I am trying to retur some things to avon froma customer and it was one of the offers where you get a free gift pack with it. Unfortunately the customer has not give me the gift pack back just one of the products ordered to qualify for the gift pack. It comes on my statement as free anyway so i was just wondering if it mattered. Thanks xx

Technically yes you should get the "free item" back from your customer & return that also....but I've returned things before without getting the free gift back from the customer and it went through fine so I don't think avon mind...it's more making sure that your customer doesn't get into the habit of it lol!

  • Can anyone tell me what happens if I order items and then the customer can't pay? Do I have to pay for the items or does Avon credit for the return?

I ask because I have a customer who has 6 friends who all want to place large orders and I am concerned about getting payment. I can't afford to pay for them!!

Don't worry, there is a special code in the returns part for returning items you couldn't deliver - I think it may be 54 of the top of my head (don't take my word for that!), for "could not delivery/collect money" - simply put the items through with code, and make a note of the amount of credits it totals...then when you pay your bill, say your bill was £200, but you had put through credits of £20, simply pay £180 and then when your credits are put through (usuaally I find they get credited on when you have swapped onto the new camp, occaisoinally is sooner!) everything will be ok as avon will have credited you with the £20, or however much your returns came to.
