Totally not Avon related - but I had someone drive into my car on Thursday - very minor but obviously claiming against their insurance for it, I was parked up in the street inside my Parents house and they reversed into me!!!
Well - got back from the garage, and the stupid insurance company has sent his all the wrong details:
They have me down as a MR!!!!
    They spelt my surname wrong!!!
They have put my car down as "undrivable" even though I said it wasn't that bad and I could drive it perfectly well!!!
They also haven't given the garage the claims number - and from his paperwork it looks as if I'm claiming against my own insurance, and he rang the insurance company himself (he knew someone who worked in their garage department) told them all this, and apparently they haven't even checked yet with the gentleman who hit my car whether he is admitting responsibility!!!
I told the guy on the phone that we had to track him down & get him to come back, gave him all of the guys details, address, registration, insurance details etc but obviously he hasn't processed it properly!!!!!!!!!!
So got to wait till next week for the garage to find something out before we can proceed! And to make matters worse my insurance runs out on the 7th august and I'm changing to another company so that will complicate things further!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!! I thought it had been far too straightforward on the phone on Thursday!!!

Must have been the day for it,
Our car was written off yesterday after a stoopid woman drove 50mph downhill on a bend and smashed our wee punto to bits,
Luckily Ian and his collegue were okay but badly shaken up.
Woman was driving a Mercedes coupe 2.2 and after the police had been etc she managed to drive away in her car ours was trashed and had to be recovered.
Now she is saying she is 3rd party  so our insurance is saying because it was a country road ( one lane officially but 2 if you drive carefully )
Now bearing in mind when Ian saw her he drove into the verge to get out her way but she slammed on the brakes and skidded into him.
if she had just managed to slow down a bit she could have drove by him as when the recovery truck came it drove past him so it a truck could do it so could she. anyway the insurance say it will be classed as a 50/50 accident where both parties are at fault.
Going to cost us a fortune I think.
Plus side is we got our courtesy car yesterday so at least we are still on the road.

but the paperwork my gawd it is tedious.
I have without a word of a lie, 10 forms to fill in and will have more to come from our shortfalls insurance ( car was on finance )
    major head ache.

Oh and to top it all off the stoopid woman isn't answering my calls now so can't get her address and or her home number or her insurers address and number.
I have her insurarers name and policy number tho
but all the forms ask for stuff that I can only get from her, who was the people in her car and their contact details.
    Drives me nuts.
ARGHHHHH Sorry Lozza stealing you thunder but I am stressed out too
Life is what you make it;)

omg thats awful! I'm just so grateful that the bloke has admitted it is his fault & got his details, but can't believe how stupid the insurance company is being! That's really awful what has happened to you - some people just can't drive!!!!! Glad that you are all ok though, apart from the paperwork problems, thats the most important thing to remember x

We rented a car last week, went to the shops to get a few bits, in the car park a bloke reversing out of a space went into the side of us!! We were stationary at the time wating for a car to get out of another space and he just carried on trying to get out of his space.
Hire company charging us £75 for this minor scratch and now this bloke is denying it!! My husband took down his reg and gave us his phone number and name so he cant exactly deny. Now its just trying to get his insurance details grrr!! Hope your problems get sorted!

I said hi a few pages back and not said anything else lol, so hi again :D

I think I have to add my experience of my car being hit yesterday also. I was driving home from my aunts on a single carriage way...see the cars on the other side coming towards me...not the only thing though....A DEAD PHESANT (bird) FROM THE SKY:eek: landed on my wind screen...rolled down my bonnet whilst I was doing 60MPH....I nearly crashed but managed to hold it together. The cars coming towards me must have hit it...and there it went into the air and come straight for me. Needless to say I CRAPPED myself and went into a panic attack but managed to carry on home without stopping. Didn’t take the birds details for a claim as I thought he had been through enough already :rotfl:

    Hayley, you made me laugh.

Ladies I am so sorry you or your partners have been involved in such horrible accidents, I believe everyone should retake their test every 5 years as people get lazy or deliberately drive how they want. That's how accidents happen.

Pleased to hear no one was seriously hurt.
