    Hey,

Im looking for a little motivation as I've just picked up my first set of books and I have only one order which has put me on a downer.

I was given C10 to start with as she didnt have any C11's, but I sent out 40 and I only got 25 back. I knocked on doors etc but most people had thrown them out... grrrr!! The three roads I covered had a lot of flats, which is where most of my catalogues have disappeared to. I think I might avoid flats till I've covered my territory once maybe then go back to the flats when I have more cats to loose :)

Is it normal to get 500 houses/flats to cover to start with lol!

Seems to be taking off more at work but I feel a little demotivated with my first dispatch! I must stick with it I know!! Just thought I'd have a little rant on here.

Hi , I have just started too and have had similar probls with people just chucking the books and have been invaded by a wandering rep too. But I have consoled myself that I MAY make some money whilst I wander round in the sunshine.

However, now I have a dilemma:confused:Somone has orderd one item only for £5 in C11 which is actually a freebie if bought with something else in C10 to value of £5.
Would you order the two items from C10 and just give the customer what she actually ordered , or give her two things as good will?????

    Hi movingon,

this is my personal opinion, I would buy the stuff from C10 and give her the two things as a promo, tell her it is a free gift for her first order. She will love the fact you have given her something free and hopefully will place a bigger order next time.

I have 180 numbers, but when you walk down them, some of them are flats, ie a house converted into 2 flats. But with these flats, i have to discount 15 of them, so in total have about 100 houses left and only 10 customers. The rest are no thanks to avon.

emailed my ASM for more territory, not heard back yet and yesterday got an email about becoming a SL, replied back saying you have to have a car don't you? I don't and would like more territory please.

Hey guys - collected my first set of cats for camp 11 last night and had £100 worth of orders!!! Am very happy!

I had a call from Avon the other night just asking how my first delivery went - I let her know about the state of the packing (as alot of you also did).

She informed me that if I managed to get an order of £250 plus then I would receive a free bumper sample pack together with makeup samples that I had already earned. I didn't know this target existed until she said. Is there anyway of knowing about what you have to hit in order to get free samples?

For me I think it depends on the customer. If I was in the same situation and a customer only spent £5, I would personally keep the free gift - most of the time you have to pay a little extra for the product in the first place to get the free gift in the older book - I would probably keep the free product and put it with my box of freebies to give out to customers when I feel they have spent enough to warrant a treat :)

However, I have a customer who spent £51 in Cat 10 - if this had happend to her I would have given her the free product.

I found when starting out and trying to build my customers, by giving them a free gift, they were more likely to buy from me again.. probably hoping for another freebie...LOL. Now if they spend more than £20, I give them a 10% discount, but might rise this to £30. Do creative ordering to cover the discount...

    Hi KatieJane

if you go online to your Account, click on the drop down menus, think it is the Presidents Club one and the one above it? they tell you what you need to earn and how much you have earnt to date. HTH

I see your point - I gave a lot of samples out this time around. I've also said that if anyone spends over £20 they get a free gift. This has seemed to work as most of my orders have been over £20. I gave out the Naturals shower gel that was in HT for 75p! I wraped them in pink tissue paper with silver ribbon. (I'm such a girl!!!) I kept one for myself and it was lovely.

This time round I'm going to get a body lotion in HT for 50p!

I'm only on my second camp but I'm enjoying it so much. The only problem is, I'm wishing the days away just so I can collect books, order, deliver etc!!!! :rotfl:

I thought it was a little ambitious but now I see it as a great thing as there are a lot of houses which have a top and bottom flat too, but then there are others which are B&Bs and blocks of flats with no chance of getting a catalogue back.

We shall see how I go conquering the next road! lol
