Hi all! I'm just starting out with Avon and i'm going to make my first delivery of cam 11 books tonight - however i'm a bit concerned that i've only been given 30 books for a territory of just over 300! :rotfl: I live on an Army married quarter estate so i'm hoping response is gonna be pretty good! x

Bear in mind that you only get free books for your 1st 2 campaigns and then you have to pay for them

  • I must say I am quite disheartened with Avon too at the moment. I am sitting at just over £80 in sales at the moment and only have 4 days left to go. I went out to collect cats yesterday and hardly anyone left them out or was in. My territory seems to be going from bad to worse too. Tried out some of my new territory and was told that there has already been an Avon girl there for months:mad:

I still have to collect from a few of my regulars, but again, this campaign doesn't look that hopeful. Getting pretty fed up if I'm honest, seem to be putting in a lot of work for hardly any return now. The problem is my sales started off really well, now they have taken a nose dive so my expectations were really high from the get go. I hope this is just a dip because of summer holidays or the like.

Hi - I've just joined AVON and I'm on my fourth campaign. I'm really enjoying it at the moment.

I made a mistake today whilst delivering my books. I collected book from a customer which had £10 order in it. I then delivered books to another street and came home. It's my order dy today so I went to get the form to add to my order, but I couldn't find it. I think I hve posted the book with the order in through someone else's front door. Luckily I looked the form and can remember whatthe customer ordered but I can't believe I did this!! Has anyone done this before and what did you do?? Should I not do anything and hope its still in one of the books when I collect on Friday?

Summer, keep trying, it could be that people are on hols. Mine has picked up this camp, so no doubt next camp will dip again.
I got an order from a new customer and in her order she put an invite for an Ann Summers party this Friday. Feel like I should go if I am about, but I've never met her!! LOL! She also asked how long the Playboy watch is going to be in the cat for? Does anyone know? I might ask if money is the problem I can order and save it for her, then if she changes her mind I can send it back?

ABC 123 - I have made so many boo boos since starting, putting through people's doors who have already said no, asking for books when I haven't put through, to name just 2, I'm sure loads more will come to mind!!! x

Summer - I think a fair few people have taken off on holiday already (more fool them coz the weathers now turned!!). I didn't get back a lot of my regular customers' cats this time around. Chin up hon...

ABC 123 - I've never posted someone elses order through another customers door, but I have 'lost' two orders in the year I've been doing Avon. The two customers in mind kept the bottom copy of the order form, which meant the top copy got missed in amongst my cats. They chased the orders up after a few weeks, and I was able to place their orders, and also offered them 10% discount. They have remained regular customers so luckily no harm done.

I was just recalling the other day about those people in my territory who have been rude/abrupt when I called to collect cats. At the time I felt pretty rotten, but can laugh about it now. I guess this has happened to us all at some point but the important thing is to keep trying, recanvass regularly and accept that for some people, they won't have money every campaign to buy. At the end of the day, I do Avon because I enjoy using the products and trying new things. I've met loads of people doing my rounds - a lot of whom live in my road and I didn't even know them before. It's nice to build up a rapport with regular customers and point out if a favourite product is on offer.

    Sorry, ramble over.

Good luck with your sales everyone.

Just got to sumit my C11 order this evening.

Loads of my customers forgot to add the free suncream for their order....I was a very good AVON rep and have added for them;), I have put a little note on the order form. Hopefully it will gain me some brownie points.

I enjoyed prepping the C12 books in the garden today ready for posting out on Friday (delivery day):o.

Sitting now, with footworks on my feet, watching the tennis.

    Hi Guys

Is there any chance someone could link me to the Avon fit flops please? I've been looking at the site online and I can't find them anywhere!

    Thanks in advance.

Lyndsey, you should go along and take some Avon books too, scratch her back and she scratches yours.

The playboy watch which is £20 and is staying £20, will not be £35 is in C12 on page 174.

And me, have put "I have left an avon book through your door, please leave outside." Seen the husband in the street and asked for it, and he asks his wife and she says we never had one...

I put books through people's doors that never asked for one as I forgot to bring my book with a list of no thankyous.....

    we are all human :-)
