I placed my 1st order fine. It was nearly £400. Nothing was ever mentioned to me about a credit limit.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T

Morning all
Do you all open products out of their boxes and check they're not damaged?
I've never bothered before but one customer collected her order off me yesterday (9 days after delivery ) and text me to say the eye shadow is smashed. I said it's not a problem, my next delivery is less than 2 weeks away but could have had a new one already if I'd checked when my delivery came and got an immediate replacementxxx

Well - had a great time on Friday bought lots of new plants so spent ages in the garden last night after OH had gone work lol
Got 3 sign-ups this week, had bought a lead last week - but she's pregnant so doesn't want to start till after baby arrives (September) - BUT she actually asked questions lol, and has done ann summer parties so if she does ring me back later in the year I think she'll be a fantastic rep!
On the downside, the lady ASM found for me the other week, isn't placing an order as she only managed to get up to £54 of orders, she only managed to get £4 from f&f as no-one was interested!!! Really going to screw up whoever has the territory next time though, ASM told me it has already had about 4 reps so far this year - so whoever gets it next time won't have much luck either!!! O well, you can't win them all!!!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Have to say I don't check things - only if the box looks battered would I check that the contents were ok. Otherwise you would be there for hours!!!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hey everyone
I placed my order just now and it was around £310 - this is my first order and I thought, from reading on here, that I would have a credit limit of £200 - however the order seems to have gone through ok and there is no mention of paying anything upfront?
Do I need to do anything?
It depends upon your area, and how many things you said "yes" to on your contact - ie do you own/rent, have a credit card etc plus length of time at address.....if you live in a nice area I wouldn't worry, I'd only been in my house for 11 months and placed a first order of about £350 and it went through fine. Can always ask your SL/ASM to check for you though to make sure.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Thanks Lozza & Princesswoo
Now all I have to do is wait for Friday0 -

With your dropout, get hold of the orders and offer to process them through your own a/c if necessary so as not to disappoint the customers. Then, prior to ordering, contact each customer and explain that their Rep is unable to continue due to personal reasons but would they like to take on the round instead and you already have some orders ready to go.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0 -
Please could anybody tell me if this is worth doing if I already work part time (will it all be taken off me in tax) I've sent an e-mail through the Avon website and haven't had a reply yet so didn't know the best way to get some info, how much do people actually make for an average month?
Thanks0 -

Earnings are totally variable from person to person depending on how big your network/territory is and how much effort you put into it. I've never found anybody that doesn't think it's worth being a rep, even if it's only to receive discounted items from the reps magazine.
Whereabouts are you as we may have a Sales Leader (SL) on here in your area? Going through a SL can often work in your favour as we only get paid if you do well whereas an Avon Area Sales Manager (ASM) gets a salary regardless of how well they support you.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0 -
Well i have just found out i dont have a SL just an ASM. Is this gonna make a difference if i decide to be a SL myself, its something i really want to do. I'd like some support i dont think i have the confidence to totally go it alone.
Do i tell my ASM that i want to become a SL or do i go direct to avon?
Im 6 months pregnant but i dont see that as an issue as avon gets me out of the house and in the past 2 weeks ive met some really nice people.
Should i wait till after ive had my baby (sept)?
Im thinking now would be the best time to start so that i have my head around everyhing then i can start getting reps on board in sept in time for them to make money for xmas. I feel if i leave it till sept i'll have missed the boat by then.
Also had 2 cats on my doorstep this morning totalling £25 worth of orders (makes a nice change from a big bill), arent my customers nice they dont wait for me to collect they drop them off for me.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
