Can you get all that stuff FREE?? I think a stamp would be so handy!!

Yeah i get an email at least every other day offering me a lidt of all there products for free.

I had to pay postage of £12 (7 day delivery but you can pay less if your not in a rush ie £6 for 21 days) i think it was but still a stamp alone costs £12. And NO they dont rush with delivery, if they say 21 days it will be 21 days.

Register with them put stuff in your basket them abandon it. Im sure you'll get a similar email with all the offers in it.

But if you go on the site now you can get FREE business cards, FREE rubber stamp, FREE pen and a FREE magnetic door sign.

I've ordered the free things before (not for avon) and all have been of good quality. The car madnets are great but people have a habit of pinching them. I have always recieved the slowest delivery within a week, that might just be luck though. And as daft as it might sound - sometimes the delivery works out cheaper if you order more items, eg add a sticky notes and goes down by 50p, no idea why but worth bearing in mind.

I went to get business cards but then the option to get the other things had a price on. Might wait for an e-mail from them and see.

So went and delivered to my new territory and some of it was flats. There were post boxes outside - VERY small boxes, thought I'd post them in there, then hope people leave cats outside the front door of the flat, we shall wait and see. Hope I get a few back cos I'm gonna need more cats. Ordered more with my next delivery to see how I get on. The houses were new and looked very posh, hope people there like Avon. Couldn't get to 2 houses, they had big wooden gates leading to the door and I don't like fiddling round people's gates as you get some funny looks, especially as my area isn't the nicest, has some chavvy kids committing crime. Shame.

Dont think my order is going to be a big one this time round, just went again for the 3rd time to collect about 10 cats and i guess there goners.

Which leaves me short to finish my territory in time for lunchtime friday.

Oh well, lesson learnt - i have ordered extra cats for the next campaign.

EDIT: i have just been and delivered the last of my cats and had my hand bitten by a dog. Snappy little thing was quietly waiting behind the door, the letter box is at ground level so when i put the cat in it ripped my hand through the letter box and nicked me with its teeth as it tried to grab the catalogue. Needless to say i wont be going there again. I think he was just after the free sample of lipstick.

Oh by the way, I've got a wee hint for people starting up on territories that worked for me.

You know how 3rd or so camp for a new customer gives a bit of a dip? Since they already have their toiletries to last them for ages. What I've done, is do a new street each camp, instead of all of it at once, it's given me a consistent amount each time.

Hope this helps someone else :)

Lyndsey, I write on the back of the plastic bag with a permanent rain proof marker, please leave this book outside, even if you are not ordering, Thank you.

It saves me writing sticky notes each time, I don't have a printer and it would work out too expensive.

What I find is, the ones who don't want to order, will put book out straight away, and if I am walking along that way, will pick up books as I go along. others may look and not order and then there are the few with orders.

I have a 90% success rate with this.
  • Went on to the Avon site and looked at my invoice. I have been charged £7.35 for the Oasis watches as an adjustnment! I remember someone saying on here that we had been undercharged, looks like they now realise and have charged us! That is really annoying, that is their fault and should just leave it, great another fee I didn't expect!

I had a message in my inbox a few days ago about this, I just thought everybody received it at the same time. I was expecting an adjustment at some point as it was obvious that they'd messed it up with the invoice cost being even less than the demo price we paid in the HT.

  • Well i have just found out i dont have a SL just an ASM. Is this gonna make a difference if i decide to be a SL myself, its something i really want to do. I'd like some support i dont think i have the confidence to totally go it alone.

Do i tell my ASM that i want to become a SL or do i go direct to avon?

Im 6 months pregnant but i dont see that as an issue as avon gets me out of the house and in the past 2 weeks ive met some really nice people.

Should i wait till after ive had my baby (sept)?

Im thinking now would be the best time to start so that i have my head around everyhing then i can start getting reps on board in sept in time for them to make money for xmas. I feel if i leave it till sept i'll have missed the boat by then.

Also had 2 cats on my doorstep this morning totalling £25 worth of orders (makes a nice change from a big bill), arent my customers nice they dont wait for me to collect they drop them off for me.
    Hiya

I'm pregnant and a new SL, it hasn't stopped me! Yes now's the best time to start before baby comes! It won't matter having an ASM as an upliner at all.

Good luck, go for it! :j
  • Thanks Lozza, I didn't get a message at all, it does say on the invoice to check messages but I don't have one! I also ordered the Storm set (handbag and sunglasses) and it isn't on my invoice nor does it say it wasn't supplied! Really annoyed as that was what I wanted the most
