Thanks princesswoo. I've never offered a free gift with purchase before. I have done prize draws - all orders over £10 entered into a prize draw with 1st,2nd,3rd prizes. This has worked well, but obviously not a guaranteed win for everyone.
xx
A prize draw wouldnt entice me as i would this the rep was rigging it, lol.
A freebie is a much better way - as its guaranteed.
You could always take out your orders and have a freebie goodie Bag and when the customers pay they get to delve into your bag and choose their own free gift.
I might try this if i end up with loads of products i wount end up using.
When doing free gifts you have to work out your commision as you have to make money too.
This is how i try and work it:
SO for example if 10 customers order the 10 items for £10 thats a total of £100 - You make £25 commision but you have to take out the cost of brochures from that.
So your left with about £20. out of that £20 you have to buy 10 free gifts costing £10 (£7.50 after commision) Thats leaves you with earnings of £13.50.
But if all those 10 customers spent £15 cos you increase the target for the free gift that increases you sales to £150 putting you into the 30% commision bracket making your commison £45. Take of £5 for cats and £7.50 for your free gifts and you've earnt £32.50 a much better commision to me anyway.
Youve almost tripled your commision but you only had to increase your sales by 50%.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
What 30% commission bracket??
Sales over £148 receive at discount of 25%, subject to fixed discount items.
Sales between £78 and £148 receive a discount of 20%
Sales under £78 are full price.
Or has it changed and I've not seen the memo and been training all my reps wrong? (eek!):jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0 -

Hi
Do you get 30% commision, cause i only get up to 25%?0 -
I have just been allocated new territory but it is quite a rough area in parts. Would you post brochures through all doors or be selective according to the state of the house/garden. I have already decided to check the local paper for the addresses that have been in trouble with the police and stear clear of them. I know this makes me sound like a snob but I wondered what other people that had a similar area did.
Coxy11 - I offered a free gift with any order over £15 with C10 and i think it did increase sales with some customers. Will be taking freebies with me in Avon carrier bag so customers can choice their own when I deliver their order.0 -

Wonder if thats new commission rates. I hope it applies to all reps and not just new ones. I haven't recieved anything to say of changes but definately going to lookLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -

Liamsmum - where I live some houses are rough. I select the houses I want to deliver to, at the end of the day my safety is paramount to any job! I also feel intimidated by people and this can put me off going out delivering sometimes if kids are out. Do the select few you want and the you can gauge it with each campaign, that's what I do0 -

ETA: A reply I've just received: The confusion is because we earn 25% AFTER VAT is deducted for orders £78-148, so NET 20%, and 30% AFTER VAT is deducted on orders over £148, so NET 25%.
I hope that helps.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0 -

In the booklets for new reps (well the one I got) it does actually say 30% at HOV, however my SL crossed this out and put 25% as she said that in the USA reps do get 30% and the book is written with them in mind!Avon Rep
C8 - £417.09, C9 - £613.14:jC10 - £378.18
C11 - £301.72, C12 - £284.92, C13 - £220.14,
C14 - £194.36, C15 - £300.910
