Thanks, I have done my new territory for the first time, and there were many very good orders, several over £40 and £30 so that adds up quickly, plus a few F&F. Still got a few regulars to pickup so will probably be over £700, its only my third campaign and I think the next one will not be so good as everyone is stocking up now?

Will have to get some SSS to try if it really gets rid of headlice - DD is full of them and with her long hair they are really difficult to get rid of - there are always a few left and they then start breeding again

    I have a quick Q regarding returns.

One of my friends asked me this and i wasnt sure of the answer so i thought i would ask here.

If she orders a product and it comes with a free item, does the free item need to be returned if she returns the original item.

And if she buys say the £10 eye offer but doesnt get on with 1 of the products how does that work if she wants to return it. Does all the items need to be returned for her to be able to get her money back.

As Avon will effectively charge you £5 for each item in the eye cream offer to make up the £10 - you should be able to return one and give the customer £5 back.

For free items - like a free handbag if you spend £15, then you would need to return the bag as well. It all depends on the offer.

It will make more sense when you look at your invoice for the items - if they show up as a price, then you can return the items individually!

Congrats Lozza! How does being a SL work money wise? Do you earn from how much your rep's make?

I picked up my cats last night and the only person to order had spent £2.49!!!! 3 books were not put out for me so I intending on going back for them after I had dropped off cats to new houses.

So feeling very deflated, I went back out with my cats and new order forms to knock on doors and after delivery of them went round to collect my books from the 3 houses. One lady was in and had an order of £37!!! :D

That made my night and the street worthwhile.

After paying for my admin charge, freebie giveaways, paperbags and new cats I am currently left with a profit of £50 to go towards my savings (or maybe new shoes) Very pleased!

Chin up - that's still a lot of profit left over saying as you have ordered some bits!!!

Don't earn anything yet as a SL - you need to have 5 in your team before you earn anything, and then you only get about 3% I think it is of their sales - so not much money until you have a bigger team. Once you have SL under you - then you can earn up to 12% of your teams sales. That is many years off for me though with working full-time! I'll be happy just to get 1 or 2 new people a campaign to keep things ticking over.

You can get bonuses - if I get 3 people signed up in the first 2 campaigns of being a SL then I'll get £30 which will have paid for my SL pack (which was £25). If I get 5 within the first 3 campaigns I think it is then I'll get another £50. So I'm hopeful to get that money - fingers crossed!:rotfl:

I know its not avon but we use vosene 3 in 1 shampoo, and the repellent spray to keep lice at bay, my son came home one day before xmas with them and using the nit lotion took us about a month to get rid of them as he kept getting them back.

Someone pointed out the vosene so i thought i'd give it a try. Wash their hair with the shampoo then use the repellant spray every morning beofre school and we havent had any nits since. (we got both bottles from boots on offer 2 for £4)

    Hi all,

Just been out and picked up the last few stragglers from this campaign. No orders unfortunately but that's the last time I will canvass that particular road for a while so my next few campaigns will be easier. I managed to pick up 8 new clients from this recanvass so not too bad.

One order from a school mum friend this morning so total is now £313 and still waiting to hear from my neighbour. She takes the book into work and usually gets another couple of orders for me. I give her 10% off her order for doing that. She definitely wants the Cynthia Rowley body lotion and shower gel that's in the HT clearance - I rang and told her they were £2 each as I won't get any commission on these products but will be giving her 10% off anyway.

Will be doing a flyer stating "free gift will all orders over £10" for C11 as I've ordered two of the recession packs (10 for £10). Do you think £10 is too low? Most of my orders are £5-£8 so with the odd one being higher. Just want to maximise my sales as this campaign hasn't been that great.

panambi - congrats on your total - that's fantastic.

Thanks, I will give this a try! Have tried various different things but nothing seems to work - threatened to cut her hair off now :o

I tend to look through the brochure and see what offers are on. If theres a load of offers on for £10 like the 10 items for £10 or the eye set for £10 i tend to say FREE GIFT when you spend £15. I find that most customers generally buy the offers so you'd be giving them a free gift for nothing. SO i try to get them to spend £5 more (it has worked for me this campaign).

I also put how much the free gift is worth on the leaflet, ie free gift worth £3.50 when you spend £15. Otherwise they might think there gonna get a free sample pr something. All my customers who placed a £15 or more order will be getting a 99p room linen spray reduced from £3.50.

Also what if you get customers buying the 10 items for £10 offer and then you give then an item the same as they have already bought, personnally if i were a customer i'd want something different. Although some might be happy with 2 of the same item.

When you do an offer its to encourage them to try and buy new products they wouldnt normally try. This then might increase your future sales.

Thanks princesswoo. I've never offered a free gift with purchase before. I have done prize draws - all orders over £10 entered into a prize draw with 1st,2nd,3rd prizes. This has worked well, but obviously not a guaranteed win for everyone.

I do have a stock of items in addition to the 10 for £10 offer so I can offer a choice, BUT haven't had any orders for the recession pack anyway so think I will be okay! Wouldn't be able to give some of the items as freebies - fem wash, shaving gel etc. - wouldn't be happy to receive them myself, as hardly a treat LOL!

Just picked up my best order so far - £70.99!!!:jIts from one of my regulars but so far she's always ordered around £20 worth of products. Got soaking wet in the process as it was absolutely bucketing down at the time, but was worth it lol! Didn't finishe my pickups though as I was so wet and it didn't stop raining, will have to go later. But my total for C10 so far is £689.53:j:j:j

This comes after I had to return to orders, one for £38 - after promising to pay me on a certain day but never having the money she now doesn't answer her phone and if I go to her house someone else opens and says she is not in and they don't know when she will be back (and she has young kids!) so left her a message to say if I don't hear from her by Friday will send goods back. The other, £30 went to deliver, an old man opened the door, said it was for his daughter but she lives in Spain and went back there last week after a month's holiday here - didn't leave him money or anything so he said I should just send it back:mad:

Anyway - today's orders have made more than up for it lol!

Hope you all don't get too wet today!
    Thats fantastic:j:j

How many times did you canvass the road. I am recanvassing an have delivered 3 times now and am wondering whether to leave those that haven't ordered out of the 3 books and trying again before xmas. Is 3 times enough do you think?
