:mad: one of my customers has ordered one of the colortrend pretty eyes cases as part of the 3 for £5 offer but they are excluded from the offer (says so in the brochure). She's hard enough to get hold of at the best of times, luckily have a week before my order goes in to try and see her :mad:

  • melvis - the colleague at my work was going to do the same thing just before she went on holiday, luckily I caught her before she wrote it down! I wish the offers were a bit clearer!

Decided when I placed my order to get 3 packs of the calling cards, figured they would be useful to give to new rep's, I know had to rush getting something printed off on the computer to get and get the stray books back. Will probably give them some plastic bags for their books as well, we bought in bulk from ebay so won't really be costing very much but will hopefully help people out a bit. Figured will hang onto my books as well, so that I can give them some of the current books, but also some of the old ones to get them to split their territory from the beginning. What do all you SL on here give people when they sign up?
I was thinking the same. Maybe a few paper/carrier bags etc. Just a few bits that they don't have to buy on the 1st order with having the £7.50 to pay. Never thought about calling cards good idea:T May just do a little stationery pack. Put an extra calling book and pack of order forms in as they are free and you can never have enough.

Are you doing a booklet for new reps or do they get lots of info when they sign up? Its a while since I signed up and I had done it before so was just left to get on with it. Bet they don't get told about creative ordering.

I banked my money at the Post Office and they said I didn't need to pay the 50p admin fee and gave me the statement back and a receipt.

i remember reading that.paid my avon @ post office this time and didn't have to pay 50p either.suddenly there's a 50p outstanding balance on account so emailed them and it's the post office charge.strange way of doing it if you ask me

I wasn't given anything much when I signed up in January apart from books, order forms & a calling book. Got a few official Avon leaflets but they were mostly just telling you about Avon as a company rather than how to go about canvassing etc! When I can get onto Flissys I'll see what info they have on there, but definately thinking I might make a booklet of info to help people out.

Creative ordering was one thing I was wondering about, is that something you are allowed to mention to new rep's? Or is it a case of not telling them and hoping they work it out for themselves so you don't get in trouble!

My ASM mentioned creative ordering to me when she did my sign up, only briefly suggested it though didn't go into detail. Got most of the info about it off the original avon thread on mse xx

I'm sure its fine it's only telling them that when a product is ordered it can be ordered out of either the current book or the previous one;)

I am gonna do all the basics at the front and then tips at the back ( lots which I have from this forum). I think will have a look back on here and see what questions get asked a lot.

Glad to hear that your little ones are nearly all better! Congrats on your order that's a fantastic total!!!

I suppose you will always get a few people who are time wasters - but then hopefully among them will be a few great reps like the ladies on here lol :j

How do you go about finding people who want to sign up, or helping them to find you lol? I want to become a SL, but am definately not going down the knocking on doors route!

I've made myself a facebook page, and been browsing the groups on there, found this one which has some useful info on, it's made by the lady that has the Team of the Year 2008-2009 so she must be doing something right - might be worth a look to get you motivated again? http://www.facebook.com/s.php?sid=81c2cabef39845bae6b857c29eccb9c3&init=q&sf=p&k=200000010&n=-1&q=avon%20find%20rep&o=4&hash=a2b4927761622d80e529bd3336623624&s=20#/group.php?gid=61172920664

    Hopefully that link works ok!!!

hiya i don't go down the doorknocking route too...i buil my team through flissys.com i think you have already heard about it

i tell new reps about creative ordering on the 2nd appointment as some might get confused with too much info.
1st appoinment stick to the basics , follow the appointment pack and give them the brochures
2nd appointment show them how to order and at the same time explain the backordering makes much more sense that way.

you have to remember that they are totally new to it all and i remember once my asm left me i almost forgot half of what she said and had to read up
