Oh and how do i register as self-employed for it?
Think i'm guna make all these calls and re-jig my benefits tomorrow morning when i've actually got my head round it lol
no, you have to say you are working 16 hours or more a week otherwise you don't qualify, which is why I worked out how much I do and it came to 20 hours.
They will ask how much I earnt and may have to prove it too, like any self employed person.
If you go to the hrmc.gov.uk website, and click on registered for self employed, it will explain what you need to do.
If you do go ahead with it, PM me as I don't always check all the posts, sometimes just log in and read from middle or end, and I will give you some stuff you need to do and keep.0 -

I had 2 customers c8, 1 cst c9, and am hoping to get some more c10. I gave the book to my 2 customers from c8 and they said no, gave to 1 cst who expressed an interest in avon, so hoping for an order and C9 am going to give her C11 book.
So, people in my territory are not interested.... I think I have rubbish roads. One customer messed me around, told me he wanted to place an order and come back tues to collect it. Went tues, wed, left a note wed, went back again, no book, no order and he went on holiday.0 -
Are you recanvassing the customers that didn't order in C8? Do you have a tick box for the customer to say whether or not they are interested? I have a territory of about 180 houses too, but only 15 or so customers ordered from there in C8, in C9 I gave cats to all the customers that didn't order in C8 but were happy to receive a catalogue (tick box). I now must have about 10 or so new customers that didn't order last time. I probably have to deliver over 100 cats each campaign.
If you are doing this, then you must just have a crap territory and I would be asking for more roads.Avon Rep

Going to tell tax credits and sort out the self-employment thing tomorrow morning so its done as soon as poss, oh and i'll have to get my income support stopped as well, i'll get in trouble if i forget that lol.0

Will i get c10 books wen i put an order in on Monday then?
Can't believe I have so many question when we sat and talked for like an hour!0 -
YummyMummy - I would think your SL would give you the C10 books when she comes back with your account number. Most reps get two campaigns worth when they sign up, but as she is coming back with your account number, maybe she intends on bringing C10 then.Avon Rep

I've read through half this thread so I know what i'll be getting myself into, I probably only have about 6 friends/family that would actually buy Avon, the rest would have to come from canvassing, will it actually be worth doing after the amount i'll have to pay out in catalogues?
I work 3-4 nights a week atm, so i have some spare time in the day, but still not doing 16hrs p/w, does anybody know if registering as self-employed doing this would make me eligible for working tax credits if i put the hours in does it not work like that?
Oh and how the heck am i supposed to get a minimum order value or whatever by Monday when i'd have to put an order in?? Thats like £70something pound isn't it?
I think I wanna go for it but it's just a little bit like 'whoa' atm.

I would not start a rep off on a campaign if less than 7 days to go, so might be best to start off at the next campaign. Give me a call on 0800 3277331 if you have any queries :j0 -
Yay, emailed my ASM on sunday to ask for some more roads if at all possible, I do have quite a lot already but with so many houses starting to say that they don't want a book anymore I think I have got all the customers that I will get......she has rung this morning (I was at work) and left a message saying she will ring today!!!
Which is very impressive for her normally end up emailing her a second time to get a response lol! I just hope that she isn't going to try and get me to become a SL!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
