Thanks Elliebee and kirstoff, I left it in the end, one less thing to spend on!
Daft question I know, but could anyone give me the delivery date for D?
Website only shows C13 onwards.
I thought it was tomorrow but now got a funny feeling it's on Thursdays
It's cool I found some old paperwork, it is Thursdays.. doh!0 -
Hey everybody, i might be becoming a rep later but i'm not sure. I've read through half this thread so I know what i'll be getting myself into, I probably only have about 6 friends/family that would actually buy Avon, the rest would have to come from canvassing, will it actually be worth doing after the amount i'll have to pay out in catalogues?
I work 3-4 nights a week atm, so i have some spare time in the day, but still not doing 16hrs p/w, does anybody know if registering as self-employed doing this would make me eligible for working tax credits if i put the hours in does it not work like that?
Oh and how the heck am i supposed to get a minimum order value or whatever by Monday when i'd have to put an order in?? Thats like £70something pound isn't it?
I think I wanna go for it but it's just a little bit like 'whoa' atm.

YM, if you're not sure at the mo, maybe wait a few days so your first order is for the next campaign, which will give you a bit more time.
The Minimum Order level is only the level at which you start to earn commission. You can order as little as you like (my orders are currently about £20), but you pay the face value for the goods.
Once your up and running, the 'One Stop Ordering' system will save you time, as it means you'll only be stopping by each house once each campaign (hypothetically - cuz you never catch everybody in!) so it cuts down on the hours dramatically.0 -
Hope you decide to go for it YM - you'll be very welcome on here for help and support. Don't be too put off that some people have had problems with deliveries being wrong. On the other side of the coin, I'm on my 30th campaign and have only had 2 or 3 errors in that time.
I seriously wonder if half my area can read. Just collected a re-canvass from my flats; they had a tick box to say whether or not they wanted a brochure in future and I'd highlighted 'please tick as appropriate'. Four were ticked - 2 orders and 2 'no's' and nine had nothing ticked  What's the matter with them.......they'll complain if I deliver brochures when they didn't want them
Oh! And in case you're thinking that they probably didn't see the note.....they must have done or they wouldn't have known which day to put it out! Who'd be an Avon lady'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Elliebee I had some people complain this time about getting books, yet I have had a tickbox option on all my books. How long do you give them this option? I considered only doing it for 3 campaigns as I don't want to give them an out every campaign:rotfl:What do you think?
The stickers saying what day I collect obviously aren't clear enough as I hardly ever get my books back when I request them. Do you give a time you will collect? I normally don't just give an am or pm, maybe I should!
Collecting about 30 cats tonight, well, we will see how many I get back.
My SL came to my work and gave me some more C9 cats:T as I told her my predicament (someone stole them) so she offered up some more for me, otherwise I would have been really short next campaign.Avon Rep

I can't find the "wanted" section on the website - has it been taken off? Also, I thought I saw somewhere where it tells you your targets or something, can't find that either?!0
-
Think I found the target thing now - don't think I will achieve Associate or President - need to make LOADS more!!!0
-
I think i'm going to go for it but i'd still kinda like to know how it'll affect my tax credits etc incase it ends up not worth bothering0
