LOL - that's nothing; last year I gave all my customers a Christmas card with a perfume sample inside. Not only did I get quite a lot of the samples back, but some of the cards too!ironed_out wrote: »They are basically a calendar on a sheet, printed both sides of the paper so one side is Jan-Jun the other is July-Dec. You don't get a lot of space to write on them if I remember rightly....like I said, I only got them the first year then gave up trying to give them to customers!
I'm shocked that your 'customers' would do that! My customers so far seem so nice, I think I would feel offended if they gave presents or cards back to me!

Well ive contacted ASM again and will wait for a response for now, but will try to get those houses allocated to me, so there is no confusion. Ill give Avon a call next week and see if I can get a swap of ASM or something. Thats been my intension all along, to try and get somewhere as ive had no luck from ASM. My own areas accessible houses are already covered by someone and i have stepped back immediately when I knew this. (they arent actually allocated to that person, she just does them due to them being neighbours).
Hi sorry read this one after I posted about the other! Not trying to have a go at you personally, just had one of my reps lately who had someone do some of their territory because they didn't think anyone was doing it, and my rep left which meant I won't earn anything for sales leadership for last compaign so I was bit miffed and worried people might read your post and follow your lead without checking with an asm first.
Hope your asm gets back to you and gives you some decent territory, if you can';t get hold of her or she doesn't reply etc then call avon they give them a kick up the bum and they usually ring back then xx0 -
I don't really want to give up on them just yet as I'm going to do the Free Gift with a minimum spend for my next campaign so want to see how that goes. If a certain house hasn't returned any books though, they're not getting my pretty C17's :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
To be honest, as I have 180 ish homes at the moment I should expect a fair few books to go missing and in the future I'll be ordering more than the 30/35 my ASM gave me as I need some for friends/work etc as well as territory.
Several people have told me they don't want to receive the next book as I've been collecting them and a lot of people want to see if I keep returning as they are wary due to bad experiences with past Avon reps.Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
That's cool, mel, as I said, each to their own. Yeah it's great when you have a bigger bunch of brochures coz then you don't have to return as often and when you lose a few it doesn't matter.
Just did my brochure drop, so now I have 50 to collect on sunday - very exciting as I will have a good indication of my orders then. I have 2 new customers from the territory I didn't cover last time, but I am hoping to have a few new customers who didn't order from me last time. I had 11 orders on c15, so I hope to improve on that this time, but we will see.

The first time I dropped I only had time to do one road (got 4 orders from 50ish houses), this time I did the longer road and got 12 orders (I think) from 100 ish houses. Picking up the books tomorrow from my brand new road (delivered 24 books, 2 people didn't want them and having to skip the last 4 houses this time) so fingers crossed... with a couple of orders from them and at least 2 I'm expecting at work on Monday I'll hopefully clear the £300 mark :TSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
I currently have 40 C18's. At least 8 will be taken with friends etc leaving me 32 for territory but as my C15's numbers have decreased I think I'll order more C16's with this order as well as my C17's. As you say, it means I'll have to go out less often as I can cover more houses at a time which is good as I now have 170+ houses to get roundSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

If it's any help Mel, I have about 200 houses overall and probably about half that number that I still deliver to, and I usually order 80 brochures but use them twice. For the sake of around 10p each, I find it's better to have plenty rather than having to panic because I'm running out. Thanks ... I currently have 40 C16's (about 32 for territory) and about 15 C15's. Thinking of ordering another 25 or so C16's as well as about 80 C17's as I'm going to do all houses on C17 and C18 at the same time (no back ordering) to make sure everyone gets Xmas orders in time. I'll also need lots of books for my Avon party :TSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
After reading every single post I have gathered up some reali useful tips!:j
I contacted my asm and she has given me my own street (as well as my mums) as some new terriorty so I dropped brochures to roughly half the houses in my street. I left a slip with brochure highlights, offering free gift if they spend over £15 & asking to leave brochure out on sunday.
Just wondering what you guys have found to be the best time to pick up orders on a Sunday - I have asked them to leave brochures outside but I'm guessing I wll prob have to knock on a few doors!
thanks again for all the helpful info posted!!:T0
