    wow that's loads! :T

Just dropped off my first round of books... my area is dodgy! 5 houses out of 42 with no fronts to letterboxes, gang of lads hanging round outside one of the houses, but walking through the cloud of pot will give me a good night's sleep tonight!

OH had a good idea for one of our notes with catalogues...
why not offer to email people with delivery dates & amounts, may end up saving a trip to a street!

I also thought to offer internet payment. Apparently Google Checkout takes less commission than PayPal, I've yet to research it yet, but if folk pay online, less worry about carrying cash around.
    :)
  • HI iv been refused by avon to be a rep as my credit rating is bad! think that's really unfair is there anyway around this?
my sisters a rep yet she could join and she's in loads of debt.

I have one of the worse credit ratings going, I have debts coming out of my ears and can't afford to pay them anything but I still got accepted, so I'm not sure why you didn't  unless you're a lot younger than me, maybe that's it.

A lot of my customers are older people who (although I may be judging) probably don't have the internet ... but if you have a lot of younger customers who are online then that's a good idea. I too don't like the thought of carrying too much cash around if I'm on my own

Maybe because you had a bad experience in the past, they don't want to risk it again? Maybe if you phone them they'll give you an explaination? :o

Does anyone here have a customer spreadsheet for order records etc? I'd like to set one up but haven't used Excel for 11 years (and even then it was only basic!) so I'm a bit stuck!

that might be why, because you refused to pay, because technicaly you do owe it to avon, you buy the goods from them then you sell them on. also you shouldnt leave the goods with people without getting the money off them first.
why not ring them and ask them about it?

Avon don't like to let people be reps with them who have been in debt with them before.

  • could my boyf sign up for me? only prob is we live together?
    would it matter?
  • also i did contact them at the avon call centre and the woman i spoke to said try again when your credit is bter, so i'm not sure if they cared i was sent to collections before. i'm only in a payment plan with littlewoods cat have about £500 lft to pay off, i'm not in loads of debt like my sister is.
