Tell them you can order earlier but they are then having to pay the delivery as you are only covered by one main delivery.
I only do family and friends so they get the books for the full three weeks.
so I can't comment on that subject really.
Personally I wouldn't do 2 orders too complicated I would say
dont do 2 orders because:
if one of these orders is under £78 you wont get any comission plus pay the postage.
and why not aim for the HOV to get more comission ? nobody likes walking around for nothing.
this is what i do
i give my customers the latest book with there delivery leave the book with them for a week or sometimes even a week and a half .
i know that its better to just leave the books for a few days...
but this works better for me as many of my customers are working and have busy lifestyles and dont get to sit down and look though the avon book in peace very often..
this way they have the possibility to show it around for me or whoever visits them might look at it...
all this is boosting my sales....
i really dont have the time to be out picking/dropping brochures every 3 days so i invest in more brochures (remember after your 3rd pack each additional pack is only 48p)
plus i use the previous campain brochures on some roads so there again reuse and save money.
oh and none of my customers ever complained about the waiting time til the order arrives. avon customers are used to it and plan well ahead..lol
hope this helps0 -
Ooh I hope so. Mind you it says in the brochure to allow 16 days (can't remember exactly) or something for the watch to arrive so I suppose that is okay. Even if they run out for short time.
I've just registered on Flissys... how long does it normally take for them to approve you?
not 16 days ..it states 6 weeks but dont worry they always print that on offers like this, just to cover themselves in case of extremly high demand.
oh pam wanna be a sl then?
normally could take a few days as the lady that owns the site Claire is managing it on her own ... but she also works fulltime as a webdesigner so give it a few days you wont regret it0 -

The watch was for a customer but one of the eyeshadows was for me (got one but ordered two). Now that I have seen it don't want it anyway as it is a cream eyeshadow and I thought it was powder, looked like powder in the book. I don't wear cream eyeshadow! So what do I do? I don't want the eyeshadow, if I did get it I would likely just send it back, but I assume the customer would want the watch.
I also got overbilled for a bracelet charm, supposed to be buy 1 for £4, get another for £1. Instead I got billed £4 for 3 and only one for £1. So I called them and they said it will be credited on my next bill. I didn't actually think I would need to check the prices but it seems I might have to, I only noticed it as it was glaringly obvious.
Other than that most other things seem right, if not a bit bashed for some of the boxes. Some things I can't remember ordering, I have 3 shower gels of the same type, can't remember ordering 3, but will have to check against the order forms. Btw, Brazil Beat is gorgeous, very summery, I bought it for myself!
Lyndsey, did you get your order?
I am not sure about the eyeshadow but I think if you don't want it they will credit it to your account check the returns page for details.
I bought all 3 of the eyeshadow cases I must say they aren't very hardy, normally an hour or so and they are gone from your eyes.
I gave mine to my neice who is 6 lol.
Gorgeous colours but not very suitable for adults.
Brazil Beat is lovely as is Tahiti Holiday and fire me up all fruity and light
Glad not to much was mucked up xxxLife is what you make it;)0 -

I haven't had to get an additional order
but I never knew about commision so thanks for thatLife is what you make it;)0 -
Hi all
Am very glad to find this thread, nice to meet you all!
Signed up yesterday to become a SL (been an Avon Rep on and off since 1997) and have 2 reps already to sign up, am very excited. 1 of them is 120 miles away though, gulp but hey my SL has offered to come with me, she's fab
Am looking forward to reading through the rest of the thread and picking up hints and tips!0 -
Hi Charlie - welcome to the board. Aivyb2009 is a new SL too - you'll have to share ideas
Good luck anyway, there certainly seems to be more money in being a SL than a humble rep!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Got my order, was at my neighbours - she is good. Was 5 packages and not too heavy so only one trip to hers. I think if I get a massive order I will defo get her a gift!
Not sure what time it turned up, must ask her, she does nights so I hope it didn't disturb her!
My orders were all present and correct - had 6 customers, 3 were in and had the money, 1 said to come back tonight at 9pm when she would have money and the other 2 weren't in. Will try again tonight and leave a note saying I will be back Monday evening and if it's a problem to let me know.
Not going to start C9 until next week - although the customers who ordered have their C9 already. They asked if I was going to keep this up and were pleased when I said I was, which is promising. Hardly have any C8's left now, so will put 10 out tonight to some houses and collect Monday night, already got £20 on the C8 2nd time round, have more time this time, just hope I can get round the territory in time. Am sure I will have it sussed soon enough.0 -
I'm going down the route of hidden stickers for my next campaign (can't claim credit for the idea - came from a recent call-in
) The note on my collection day slip will say:
ARE YOU A WINNER?If you find a sticker hidden in the pages of your brochure you will win the prize written on it.
Simply attach the sticker to your completed order form and you will receive the prize with your order.
I shall place 4 stickers for items I have in the 'goodies box'
Should encourage people to look all the way through their book, and if they find a sticker they'll want to order to get their prizeI don't really think that any amount of free gifts etc. make much difference to how much people buy, but I think it helps to constantly have new things to keep them interested!

Hi everyone, I picked up all my C9 catalogues this morning and have my first order for £30.98. Very pleased! Am going to go and deliver the cats this afternoon to the next street.
Thank you to whoever thought of this thread. I am utilising the ideas, especially a note on the front of the catalogue to place outside, so I can collect it, am getting all my catalogues back now.
Thanks Elliebee for the post, I don't have any goodies box at the moment, waiting till I have a bit of cash and then will buy some goodies and do this as well. Great incentive for those who would not normally look through the catalogue.0 -
Hi Everyone
When I submitted my order last all the yellow dots against the Beauty Bonus Bags had turned to green ticks:D Thats good as I had 6 on order though I have managed to get 2 free for me well almost free just had to spend £5 on one to make it up.;)
Elliebee thats a really good idea. We never seem to have these meetings although there is one next week about sales leadership which I am interested in.0
