Since the credit crunch, I strugle to get orders - at the moment its max of £60-£70.

can i ask about additional orders.it says delivery is 5-7 working days from ordering ( was friday i think!).is there any way of contacting the courier for a more accurate time? there's nowhere for it to be delivered to and the neighbors are out during the day

For how long your giving the book for the customers? I normally give them for 2 weeks, as I noticed that they dont like to wait 2 weeks for the order.
I was wondering if its my mistake, mabye I should give for 1 week, give other people for another 1 week and then place an order?

Anna - I only give customers the book for 2-3 days at the most as do most people on here it seems, unless of course they are family or friends. I think if people have the book for a week or longer they will likely forget. I had a customer that had the book for 2 weeks, told me she was going to place an order, but when I went back she hadn't, said she didn't get round to it. She said she will definitely place an order this time though. I really don't think you should give them that long with it as it must take ages to get round your territory.

Oh no!! I am worried now bout my order!! I put mine in Thursday night and was told delivery is today and some customers are expecting me to deliver tonight!! Don't want this to put them off future orders if I muck them about.

Also I was worried about the Anew Treats as I am still doing C8 on half my territory, especially as the first and only order so far says she wants the Anew stuff but only if she gets the free gift otherwise she doesn't want anything!! GRR!!

I have made an additional order for the first time in 10 months this month and I thought it was 5-7 working days. Called Avon when it didn't arrive yesterday and was told this has changed to 10 working days now!!icon8.gif

    Hiya hun
    Sorry hubby is late
I went and got ready so at least when he gets home we can all go :D

Incentives and ideas for upping sales
I tend to buy samples that are relevant to the upcoming campaign
when I order my catalogues I order as advanced as possible.
I have just order campaign 8 and have brochures coming for C11 already have 9+10 here.
If they are doing a full page add for one of the perfumes or cover of the brochure order samples of that scent and let them know that it is on offer etc.
Also I do free gift from £15 up usually but this month I have lowered it to £10 I have a lot of stock and wanted to keep folk interested.
One order was over £40 so she got a tinted moisturiser and a aftersun cream as freebie.
Others or £11 got body sprays ( now discontinued tho ), my mum got body lotion. I tend to spend no more than £1.50 per freebie

Also once you know your customers you can highlight stuff you think they will like also mention about up coming offers, when you drop in their order let them know about (for instance) this campaign C9 the watch offer
So they will tell friends etc.

Also wear the produce where you can as folk will ask "what perfume is that" like that colour of lippy where did you get it" etc.

I also give their order in a plastic bag as people are recycling more and if they reuse it It is a possible advert for you to get custom.

Add flyers in with their orders letting them know you can get samples of foundations for them, colours are obviously different on paper than skin so the £1 you spend to get them 2 near matches of foundations
means a sale of £10 + so it is worth it especially if they know you will do stuff like that for them.

Instead of max orders you could do a deal with buy a bottle of LBD get a free gift perfume £12 get a nail varnish or lip gloss.
It might persuad people to buy the perfume as a present for someone.

The biggest rule is continuity and reliability
be there when you say you will and keep them informed.
I don't have a territory I have just friends and family but
I do use all these techniques, but at different times

But try different things and use your customer feedback for future reference they will let you know what they want.

    Good luck xxx
Life is what you make it;)
