I am using an M&S cloth type bag!! Starter kit sounds like a good idea for the bags!!
Not sure where the vanity bag came from, put the orders in and there is one treat for a customer who spent £20 on Anew products and an ice blue vanity bag!!
  • ah, so it's the deal sepnd £20 on anew products and get the bag for free? That is the one I was talking about I should be getting at least 5 of them!!

No, I got the treats with 1 customer with the Anew products, but also a blue vanity bag - no one else has ordered Anew products?

I am also worried about non payment! If you turn up with the goods (Am planning to pop notes in a few days before with final figure so they know and can have the money) and they say they have no money today - do you give them the stuff?

A useful 'body language' tip - when you knock at the door, don't have the bag held in front of you as that encourages them to reach out for it and it can be a bit embarrasing to snatch it away :p:o. Instead, hold it down by your side and just say 'I've got your order here', so they can see it's not coming their way until you have the money ;) Actually, I find most people are very good, but there is always to odd one who's a problem. I find that threatening to send the goods back has the desired effect (unless they don't want it after all, which is rare). I don't mind too much as long as people say 'I can't afford it this week' rather than making loads of feeble excuses

Not a bad C8. I've just placed my order which came to around the £380 mark. Every campaign I think at the start that it's going to be rubbish, but then it picks up. I guess after 18 months the loyalty factor is kicking in :D

  • My tip regarding Avon would be dont bother! You spend a fortune on their trashy junk and catalogues and earn barely a thing!

Funny I've earnt at least £100 each campaign since I started!!!

It isn't for everyone, it does depend on your area, how many houses you are given, and if you have family/friends/colleagues who will order - but it does work for some people!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Lyndsey I am confused. The bag that you get free with the Anew products over £20, I thought that was an ice blue bag??? Are you saying you got two free gifts then?

Elliebee, that's a good tip, I was going to have it in the avon bag and in another bag so I actually have to go into it to get the order out. Sounds like you did well on your campaign:T I am just making up my campaign 9 slips for my catalogues!

Summer - when I got to subtotal it says rejuvanate treats as free and an ice blue vanity bag as free. Maybe it's cos I need to put the treats in the bag when they arrive so look like 2 free gifts?
Sally - I'm not doing it to get mega rich, earn a few quid, keep me busy in the evenings, get to meet my neighbours. You don't have to buy hundreds of cats, and they aren't that expensive.
8 customers so far obviously don't think it's trashy junk, we (reps) don't have to buy anything from their cat if we don't want to

What you mean is you tried Avon and it didn't work for you. If you thought it was trashy junk why did you do it in the first place. It is difficult to sell something you think c**p.:p

Is there really any need for your negativity? We know were not going to make millions from avon, but we enjoy it.
