Right i am a sl so were should i start.....
I dont drive, have 2 kids (6yrs &1yr) got a partime job and still be able to grow my team and maintain my own customers....as a sl you build your team at your own pace obviously the more people you have in your team the more you can earn, initially it looks like you run around for some peanuts but as your team grows you will see the difference. your the one training and mentoring your reps and in return you will earn comission ofthere sales whenever they place an order .
all of my reps have my number and email but most of them are quiet independent and dont need me anymore.

regarding driving ..well i live in london so good public transport i assume it depends where u life and how easy it is to get from A - B
Thanks for that. So is there any pressure to get reps or as you say are you ok just going at your own pace?

I got an email today with the latest Avon newsletter and it has a tutorial on placing your orders online - may be helpful to those who are not yet familiar with the process ;)

Coming to an inbox near you soon............i guess :D

I'm another SL but very new to it - I have 27-month old and a 3-month old and sign-ups can be interesting if one is grumpy. I'm hindered in looking for new reps at the mo as I'm not comfortable with prospecting in towns with the littl'uns in their pushchair so it's going pretty slowly. I'm thinking long term anyway and it will be much easier next year when my eldest starts pre-school. It doesn't help that all the territory local to me is now all allocated.

  • So today I went back to collect my 7 cats I put out on Sunday. I also went back to the stragglers and put a note (thanks Elliebee;)) through the doors of people that weren't in. I collected 5, got one order for £11.00! One woman said she hadn't had a chance to look at it yet so could I come back (sure, on Thursday), and at another house a guy answered and said his wife wasn't home until later so could I come back (sure, on Thursday), so maybe have a couple more orders potentially.

I had to put notes through about 12 houses and the order I got was from a woman that hadn't left the cat out on Sunday like I asked, nor Monday. I guess it shows that sometimes perseverance can pay off;)

So my total so far is £173.00, but I have 16 cats to collect tomorrow (dropped off yesterday) just across the road from me so will go later in the evening in the hopes that more people are in. Also have the two hairdressers and shop and a couple of friends and that is me finished for this campaign. I feel sorta relieved but this 3 weeks has flown by, still hoping I reach that £250 goal:T

Elliebee will have to check my works email as that is the one I signed up with for Avon, but that will be great, need to get to grips with it by Friday. Took the day off (not specifically for that, but it will help)

That's great news! You've done really well with your orders! Definately is worth going back a few times, especially as it could have been a good while since they last had an Avon Rep. I have one lady who NEVER ever leaves her book out on the right day, nor the following day even though I put through notes saying I will call back tomorrow - I should have been getting her book on Friday, wasn't out on Saturday, checked on Monday - but drove past today and it was outside with an order lol! Hopefully she might get the hang of it eventually, but I'm not holding my breath!

Definately worth starting to enter your orders onto the website once you have them and you've checked them for forward/back ordering possibilities. Otherwise it takes ages and more chances for mistakes creeping in. You can enter and save as you go along, makes it so much easier.

  • Thanks lozza1985, the only reason I haven't started putting in my orders is even though I can look and see about back ordering etc just now, I still have quite a lot to collect and I worry that I may end up having to change my order to take advantage of deals etc. I have a bad feeling that if I start changing things once I have input them I will end up forgetting something or missing an item (s) alltogether:eek: I have a day off on Friday so I think I will have to take my time so as not to make mistakes.

katie that's great you should get to start at the beginning of Campaign 9 and get a full 3 weeks with your campaign, that's what happened with me and I definitely needed the 2 weeks.

i just spoke to a lady who said she'd seen C7 book a while back with the empowerment necklaces in and wondered if i could still get them.she wants at least 12 but it bloody means i'd have to pay for the additional order and not get my 20% so i don't know what to do as i'd hardly make owt.why can't avon have those kinda items to be ordered in every campaign?
  • echo I take it you have already input your C8 order? I would easily place the order for you but I don't get my delivery until 8th May, I would obviously have to post them out to you and you could minus your commission from what you owe for them. Is the problem that they aren't in stock?
